bang pd-nim: congratulations kim y/n, after internal discussions we have decided that you will be able to join the newly debuted team straight away. after reviewing your capabilities, we are confident that you would be able to catch up to their standards quickly and also be a good replacement for the previous member.

no wonder i was called to his office all of a sudden.

bang pd-nim: in case you're still wondering, the group i will be debuting you with is lesserafim, our newest girl group. even though they are in the midst of preparing for their comeback, it should not be that big of an issue for you. after all, you mastered their entire choreography within a day. also, i have arranged for their leader, chaewon, to come and visit you today to get you well acquainted to the group. lastly, before i forget, you will be moving into the dorm today, we will just collect your stuff from your room and bring it over.

in case you were wondering, i did not have a place to live in except for the hybe building. as stated in the character profile chapter, i had no source of income whatsoever after my parents died. however, bang pd-nim took me in, in an exchange that i would be a trainee for his company since he thought i had the idol ability in me.

the moment he finished speaking, someone knocked on the door. the door creaked open slowly, revealing one of my biases of my ultimate girl group, iz*one.

???: annyeong pd-nim, y/n. 

she spoke with that angelic voice of hers, almost killing me right then.

bang pd-nim: please have a seat, chaewon. i believe you know what is the reason i called you here today, right?

to which chaewon nodded her head.

bang pd-nim: very well. from today onwards, y/n here will be a part of lesserafim. i know that you girls are in the middle of a comeback, but rest assured, y/n is on par with you girls and nothing will be delayed. please inform your group members that this week's schedule has been cleared, take it as a bonding time for all of you to know each other better. also, y/n will be living with you guys starting from today, y/n's personal belongings would arrive before tomorrow. have a good week ahead!

after he ended the conversation, we both bowed towards him before leaving the room.

on the way down towards the ground floor, where your manager was waiting, i did not dare to say a word to chaewon. 

what if she didn't like me? is she going to treat me badly for joining the group after debut? how should i even start a conversation with her?

my train of thoughts were broken when she started saying something to me.

chaewon: y/n, am i right? i'm quite sure you have a lot of questions to ask, and a lot of things you want to know. don't worry, that's why i am here, to help you with as much as i possibly could. just relax, alright? you seemed way too tense now. i'm not going to hurt you or anything ok? just treat this as your new family.

i did not dare to say anything and just nodded my head. after all, i had trust issues and still did not know if this was all just a facade or if she was actually being genuine. i can't tell, which led me to be still wary of her, even though she is one of my iz*one biases. looks can be deceiving, after all.
