Zayn's POV:

I actually woke up on time today. The alarm was flashing showing the time 6:30. I know that it seems like an ungodly hour to wake up and trust me. It is. But I worked at the family shop before and after school some school days. If I was working, which was today, then I had to be at the shop by 7 so that I could work for an hour.

I pulled myself out of bed and into the bathroom for a quick shower and cleaning my teeth before I got dressed into my dark skinny jeans, red top and blue shirt over the top. I grabbed my school bag and walked down the stairs into the kitchen. I stood at the counter for a couple of minutes having a drink and some toast before I walked to the front door pulled on my shoes and headed out to the family shop.

Its only a ten minute walk to get there. As it is on the edge of town on the path that all of the school children take. Although we never got any big spenders in there plenty of people came in each day so the money increased quickly.

As I reached the front doors of the shop I read the sign across the front, Malik's Cafe, as I reached into my pocket to unlock the doors. I loved our shop more than anything in the world not that I let anybody know that. I just had to many secrets that could ruin my reputation as tough and strong. My love of the shop being one. Harry knew about that one but no one knew about my second and probably most important secret. I'm gay.

Only my family members know about this. I just can't bring myself to tell other people in case everything takes a turn for the worst. I sigh and walked behind the counter switching on the machines and lights as I went round. Time to get to work. I push all of my thoughts out of my head as the first customers came in.

I had been working for just under an hour now serving people who came inside in need of a drink or something to eat. Most of the people who came in were from school. They smiled at me and bought something and left for school.

Occasionally dog walkers and early morning strollers came in to get a hot drink and sat at the window seats so they didn't miss out on the views whilst they refreshed themselves. I looked at the clock on the wall it was 8:15, my dad should be here any minute to take over. Just as I predicted the bell rang and the familiar face of my father appeared through the door. I pulled off the small apron, shoved myself a biscuit into my bag and picked up a drink before leave through the entrance.

I might actually be on time today. For the last term or so I have been late almost every single day. Never really noticeable always just a couple of minutes every day I didn't think anyone would realise that I was late. Well someone realised alright. My head of year Mr Hayton. He called me in on the last week of last term and told me if he caught me late one time next term I would be in detention.

As I walked down the road from the shop I sighed again and started to open my drink. I needed my energy drink every morning its like school drains something out of me and stops me from being able to focus. I took one massive mouthful and swallow feeling myself perk up already as I feel the sugar rush down my throat. I was about to take another mouthful when someone walked into me and knock it out of my hand. I looked at it lying across the floor before I angrily turned around to confront the person who had caused this.

He was lying on the ground making it obvious that I had knocked him over. Well I hadn't meant to to say the least but I was gonna have a go at him the minute he got up. That though went straight out of my head though the minute I saw himself straightening up.

He was breathtaking.

He was a couple of inches smaller than me so maybe 5' 7", had beautiful blonde hair with brown roots and piercingly blue eyes. They screamed innocent yet mysterious. You could see yourself getting lost in them if he really wanted you to.
