Wishywave General Hospital.
"You need to take a long deep breathe."
Janan brush the tears from her delicate cheeks as her gloomy eyes watched Doctor Tahir trying to calm her down. She obliged to his demand and inhale deeply before exhaling.
Everything was fine some moment ago until she started telling him about some of the dreams she's been constantly having more than before, its beyond what they're thinking. Janan feels like it real sometimes, like it showing her or reminding her of something. She felt depressed and rage inside her. Something is definitely wrong somewhere. She couldn't hold the tears as they roll down her face.
When Doctor Tahir notice her calm demeanor he lean his back to the white leather seat and adjusted his eye glasses before looking back at her.
"Mrs Ghali from what i can say is you're letting yourself drown into a deep sea, you're not surviving it. You're giving up and your weaknesses are your fears."
Janan played with hem of her pink shirt lowering her eyes.
She was a crying mess!
"Don't be embarrassed. All patient break down at some point and shedding tears is a physiological therapy. I just need you to tell me what you feel about this nightmares." Doctor Tahir said while entwining his hands and observing Janan.
Janan move a bit on her seat. This was the first time she broke down in front of someone apart from her mother which was kind of awkward for her even though Doctor Tahir is not just anyone else. She confined in him and pure her heart out in his office but today was a different case, maybe because she's tired of this.
"I think this has happened before or it going to happened... I..I don't even know if am making sense right now. It just that deep inside me it feel soo real." Janan stutter a bit. Her eyes meet Dr Tahir observant gaze.
"Okay. You already told me that you have never had an accident, traumatic events, no family history of amnesia or being in captivity right?"
Janan nodded her head in reassurance.
"And all the nightmares started when you lost your younger brother, right?" She nodded her head again.
Doctor Tahir note done some things on a short hospital memo.
"You have already decline antidepressants and insomnia drugs..." He continue writing down. He then stopped and drop the pen and memo on the armrest before looking back at her.
"Mrs Ghali you have to undergo a test next week."
"A test?" Janan asked confused.
"Yes. A hypnosis test."
Janan felt her heat beat rapidly.

After dropping Munira at home. Its already dark, around the time of Isha prayer. Janan doesn't feel like going home she speed her car to no where else, just driving, her heart tightened as she reminisce the past.

Adamawa Yola
"Amir look!" A cute 10year old boy rushed to the window side where his sister stood. A teenage Janan was peeping through the window as she awed at the sight of the cattle's. Most of there cousins where outside dressed in as a Fulani herd. They really want to do the same thing but their father strictly forbidden them from going out.
She, her Dad and Amir were the only ones that came to the family gathering that eid. And Amir it was his first time coming to the family house, he was beyond happiness. Everything about the land and culture excite him.
"Janan! Come and help your Aunties with food mana." Janan nodded to uncle Kabir. Her father's step brother. She really don't want to leave the window, she can stay there for hours without getting tired of watching the cattle's.
"And Amir let go outside, you're not suppose to be peeping through the window koh?" Uncle kabir said while smiling.
Janan and Amir eyes widened.
"But Dad said.." Janan started saying.
"Don't worry, he's not even around now." Uncle kabir winked at them. Janan felt very happy, at least Amir will be able blend into the rest of the family members.
"Take your inhaler." Janan gave her younger brother the medication. He is Asthmatic and she's not taking the risk of letting him go like that. He took it and they went outside. Janan smile at their retreating back before making her way to the kitchen.
1hour later
"Janan! Janan! You need to come with me." One of her cousin Mubarak came inside the kitchen breathing heavily.
"What happened?" Janan shakingly asked. All her Aunties where also emotional.
"Is Amir..he..he." Mubarak was not able to complete his sentence when she saw him helplessly on her Dad's embrace. Her fathers eyes were blood shot. She has never seen him this miserable before.
"One of the cow started chasing him, Jabir was able to stop the cattle, I went to help Amir when I saw him breathing heavily, we tried the inhaler but it was of no help!.. He..he..died in front of me!" Uncle Kabir wailed in agony. The rest of the family members were also crying.
Janan felt so numb. Everything around her fades away. She couldn't feel a sound as the darkness swallow her.
The beeping of car horns pull back her thoughts. Its already a green light so she speed off, when she drove for a while she pull off by the side of the road to clear her head.
How does Amir's death bring those nightmares?
Nothing make sense to her anymore. She doesn't recover from mourning his death up till now and she knows her life changes from the day he dies.
Is she even sane?
"Janan?"
The knock from her car window jolt her attention. Her eyes widened a little bit looking at Amina the receptionist. She pull the window down and force a smile.
"Good evening Amina."
"Are you okay? are you waiting for someone? You know this is my neighborhood. I was passing by when I saw the familiar car." Amina says worriedly looking at her face which Janan quickly masked it.
"Yeah actually I stopped to make a call. I don't like driving while on phone." Janan lied.
"Ohh I see. Car accident is often now a days. Prevention is better than cure." Amina chuckle sadly.
"Yeah. Uhm Amina I need to go now. It already getting late."
"Haba, come and say hello to my mom. Our house is just down the street."
Janan couldn't say no to her.
"Okay."
