Doctor Tahir looks at Janan's mother. She has been shedding tears telling him what happened yesterday. He feels the pain the mother is going through, they all wants it to end.

"Mama look at me." He said slowly giving her a tissue to clean her face. She collected it and looked at him.

"I can't help Janan if you don't tell me what happened to her, why is she reminiscing something she doesn't remember happening. Please Mama let's be honest with each other. I want to know everything. Janan is more than a patient to me."

Mama exhale deeply. This is her husband secrets. This dirty secrets she vow to keep it silent with her life. But will she spend the rest of her life hiding it because of that monster? All the sinful things he has done.

"Tahir, you're like a son to me, I trust you and I will tell you everything I know.. Please help Janan." She said her voice shaking.

"Mama, I will do everything in my power to help you InShaAllah." Doctor Tahir assured her. He stood from the chair opposite her and sat beside her on the coach.

"My husband has done so many unforgiven things. I was a Shuwa Arab from Maiduguri, i lost both my parent in a car accident. Me and my younger sister face a hard life living with our father's brother, the abuse keep getting too much everyday which lets us no other option than to run away from them. We gathered all the valuable things that our parent left behind and come to Kaduna. Life was also not easy there because I have to sponsor my sister Fatima to school. I was done with my secondary school and Fatima was just in her Junior years. I started working on a famous restaurant, that's were I meet Muhammad. He always comes with some few men to talk and eat. Everything about him seems weird and the first day he laid his eyes on me he keep on pushing me to accept him. One day Fatima came to meet me outside the restaurant, she was crying narrating me about what happened in school, she has been framed for stealing from her classmates and this wasn't the first time, I was consoling her when Muhammad intrude, he asked her to repeat what she said and after hearing everything he left. The next day I heard from the news that the school has been closed. I was so surprised and when I went to the restaurant my boss told me that Muhammad gave all the workers a hefty amount of money and he begged them to convinced me to marry him. After much thought I asked Fatima what she thinks about him, she was quickly to tell me to accept him because we have no one now and our life's will be better. I accepted him and after a year we got married, Fatima got into a private school and my marriage was nothing but blissful. I started suspecting Muhammad on the second year of our marriage, everything about him seems off, his calls, meetings are all secrets. He doesn't tell me anything. But I came to know that he's always with Alhaji Bello Mainasara. I got pregnant with my first child Naima and after giving birth to Janan, my sister got married to a professor in her university. Muhammad doesn't have time for his kids, he became more and more distance with me, I didn't use to complain because he give us all our needs and he also gave me a huge amount of money to start a business. The day I will never forget was when I caught him on phone, telling someone to kill...." She paused tears rolling down her face.

Doctor Tahir hold her hands tightly. "Mama what did he say?"

She exhale deeply remembering how horrified she felt that day. " A famous reporter....I couldn't remember his name."

What!!

She continue her lips trembling. " when he caught me overhearing him he swore to kill me if I ever reveal his secret, he told me his business, all the trafficking, drug deals..so many sinful things my ears couldn't hold. He told me how he meet Alhaji Bello Mainasara who helped him into working for him, all the evil things they have been doing. I was going to run away from him when I found out I was three month pregnant with my late son Amir. I closed myself to the world I didn't have no other option than to stay with him especially seeing my daughters having a good life which I can never afford that to them. I have been silence for years..i.. I couldn't even tell my sister. I don't want to disturbed her happy marriage with my burden. I have been living with a monster... " She burst out crying. Her hand trembling and her body shaking. She feel so much in pain, this is the first time she's telling someone and Doctor Tahir could feel her pains and fears. He didn't want her to continue, she has already said much.

Doctor Tahir was so shock to the peek. he could now start solving the puzzle. Janan's nightmare were real. It actually happened, she was abducted. It all makes sense now but what is more confusing is that how did she lost the memory? And most importantly..

How did she escaped and who was the abductor...
