30-Remembers

His cold hands hold her neck very tightly and Janan chocked, she feels like passing out. Her breathing was heavy and her eyes were tearing up.

Nawfal move closer to her ears. "Do you still don't remember me? Do you forget am your worst nightmare." He whispered and chuckled darkly.

Janan could now remember the voice, she looked at his face and is at that moment Janan remember everything that has happened five years ago, the year Amir died. She remember coming back from her secondary school graduation. Her driver was going to make a turn to her house when he got stopped by some men, she remember how she fought to escape and she remember how she was beaten so badly she couldn't open her eyes. She remember her life in that abundant house in the middle of nowhere. Janan remembers everything now.

Her head hurt so badly as she made a move to fall. Nawfal release her neck from his hold and she grab the chair regaining her stance.

"It took you a good five years to remember, how pathetic. I even delivered something to you but you never opened it! Its a reminder!" His husky voice said. He move back to his expensive chair and sit down looking at her darkly.

What!

Janan feels the tears rushing down her face. His the most evil person she has ever knew. The way she suffered in the hands of his men is now vividly clear inside her brain. She remember how she escaped after Yasmin was...

Yasmin!!

"Where is Yasmin?! Where is she!!" She shouted in rage. Janan move in front of him her body trembling and asked him again. The document she took from Barrister Ahmad's office was empty, nothing was written inside.

She vow to protect that innocent girl with her life and now she failed her.
It hurt so much inside her heart. She couldn't protect her. Janan fall to the ground in front of him. She let out a painful cry. What if Yasmin is dead? What if they killed her?"

She feels horrified at the thought. She looked up at the monster in a human form. He is the devil. Now she knows why he appointed her, how she feels uneasiness whenever she thought of him. It all makes sense now.

"That what I want. To see you and the whole of your family this vulnerable in front of me. I want it so bad for years. And I promise you this, all of you will get what you deserved!" He said bending down to her sitting position on the ground.

"Why?! What did my family do to deserve this!!?" Janan sob.

"Asked your son of a b*itch of a father!! He will gladly tell you everything." Nawfal blared his dark eyes dilating.

He sat back on his chair and open a drawer, he took out an envelope and look back at her. "I have waited all this while to give you this! Delivered it to your father and tell him that Alhaji Mainasara and all the members to start sleeping with one eye open. I will surely come for them!!" He throw the envelop on her.

"What if I don't?!" Janan asked brushing away her tears with the back of her hands.

"Well I will have to take you there." He took something from his desk and spray it on her face. Before she said another word her head felt so light and everything around her disappears.

"Janan!"

"Janan!!"

She opened her tired eyes and saw herself laying on the carpet inside there house sitting room. Her Dad, Naima, Mama and Munira were looking down at her. She push herself up with the help of her mother then everything came back to her.

"I can't believe!!...you all betrayed me!! You all betrayed me!!!" Janan looked at all of them especially her mother.

"Mama...why Mama? I trusted you so much!!" Janan burst out crying. Her gaze move to Munira the friend she trust so much.

"Even you!! You knew everything!! You betrayed me Munira!! Why?!! You saw me suffering! I was thinking am going insane!!" Janan shouted before looking at her father. She looked at the place and saw the enveloped which non of them notice it.

"He told me to delivered this to you!!" Janan said giving him. Alhaji Muhammad Ghali has been shocked since when they find Janan laying at the front gate of the house. He remember the same thing happened five years ago. They found her like that in the front of there house with bruises all over her body which was later examined that she tried to escaped and got into an accident.

He took the envelop and left the place. The sound of everyone in the room crying annoys him. He has to go to Abuja and read whatever is inside with the members.

"Janan please listen.." Mama was crying so much. She just wished her daughter can here her out.

Munira came to touch her and she flinched away throwing her daggers.

"Janan wlh I don't know anything! Mama just told me you were taken by someone and she made me to never tell you until the right time!! Janan please forgive us!! Please!!" Munira said tearing up.

Na'ima was the only one who couldn't utter a word. Tomorrow will be the day she's getting married and now she has started regretting everything she has done. When she asked about her sisters disappearance five years ago, they told her that Janan is somewhere else that she will come back soon. The day she saw her after some months they told her that she got into an accident on her way home. Has she been so busy to not know what has been happening with her sister. How stupid of her! And now...

What are they talking about?!

What the hell is happening!!
