IV: Same Tomorrow

Third POV

. . . Flashback . . .

Izuku's heart hurt.

How long had he'd been running anyways?

He could feel his legs become like jelly as he pulled his cloak closer to his rather exposed body.

He just needed to get away, was all that ran through his mind as he ventured passed scary looking trees and shrubs.

This was the first time he'd ever gotten farther than the Aysinia Kingdom's gates before.

He was lost, but he was happy to get away from it all.

Responsibilities and rules.

His life was basically on a clockwork schedule from the second he woke up at 5:00 am to when he'd go to bed 9:00 pm. Every single aspect of his life from what he ate to his love life was planned out.

His mother had said it was keep him well adjusted and made once he was to take her place on the throne.

He hated it.

Anyone could say that he was being selfish and would kill to be in the position of royalty but Izuku couldn't help but despise it.

At times he wished he had a identical twin so they could swap whenever he felt like he needed a break, or just talk to someone who wouldn't tell him constantly that not wanting to follow his 'destiny' was ridiculous.

By the time his feet had stopped moving, he'd come into contact with a spring.

Filed with different flowers and shrubs while one big great tree that was definitely hundred of years old, with twisted branches and roots that spread greatly.

A waterfall made soothing sounds as Izuku catched his breath and his heart rate finally slowed.

He slowly sat down, his fingers feeling through the soil and grass, as his eyes stared at how the stars made each droplet look like crystals.

It was silent.

Until it wasn't.

He didn't even hear a thing, when he felt something sharp press up against his back and a smoky sandalwood scent filled his nose.

"Declare yourself or I'll run you through." The person who was obviously male spoke rather authoritative like.

Damnit. Was all Izuku said in his head as he slowly stood up.

"Tell my mom I'm sorry and I'll return back to the palace immediately." Izuku stated, assuming it was one of the elven patrollers along the border.

"The hell?" The person spoke walking around with their sword still close to Izuku's abdomen.

As Izuku made eye contact with them, he quickly realized that this person wasn't an elven.
