Chapter 21 ( Distance)

Author's POV :
Arjun entered his house with frustration and clueless with Naveen's so called advice . When he entered the room , he was shocked to see Roja packing her bags . He went next to her anxiously and asked her......

Arjun : Where are you upto ? .

She pinned her hair strainds behind her ear , and replied casually.......

Roja : To my parents house .
Arjun was tensed whether Naveen would have told about the divorce suggestion to Roja . He asked her anxiously......
Arjun : Why ? .
Roja : What do you mean by why ? . Atthai , Mama and Deepa have gone to attend a wedding . So I feel bored here .
Arjun got frustrated . He held her hand and yelled at her......
Arjun : Why , am I not a human ? . Can't you stay with me ? .
Now Roja lost her patience....

Roja : I have cooked food for you since Sumathi aunty will come back after a week.  So you have it and go to bed. For this week , you have noodles as breakfast since you love it , have chapati for lunch and dinner . By the way ,  why should I stay with you ? .
Arjun totally lost his temper and shouted......
Arjun : Because I am your husband , henceforth you can stay with me .
Roja's eyes widened in surprise . Arjun continued to speak.......
Arjun : And what else did you say ? . I am not a foodie to think about food constantly , I know to cook . I can cook for myself .
Roja : Then what's your problem if I got to my home ? .
Arjun could not answer her question . He just stayed quiet . Roja packed her bags and was about to leave , just then Arjun held her hand.......
Arjun : I shall drop you .
Roja : No thanks , I can go by myself .
Arjun : You will go , but what will my mama and atthai think about me ? . I will drop you . So you can't go against it .
Saying so , they both came downstairs and got seated in their car . Their journey in the car was a quite gloomy one . They both did not even speak a word to each other . Arjun dropped her at her house and both of them went inside Manickam Shenbagam's house . Roja hugged her mother with full of love and she caressed her hair with more amount of love . Arjun just smiled and admired his Roja's happiness with her mother . Just then Shenbagam.......

Shenbagam : Hello Arjun , how are you ? .
Arjun : I am fine atthai . How are you atthai ? . How is mama ? .
Shenbagam : We are doing good . How is Kalpana and everyone at home ? .
Arjun : All are doing good atthai .
Shenbagam : Ok , come have a seat .

Arjun sat on the sofa and the mother - daughter duo left to kitchen . Shenbagam prepared coffee . Just then Manickam called Shenbagam......

Shenbagam  : Roja dear , go give this to your husband , your dad is on call .

Roja hesitantly agreed and went to hall , she saw Arjun sitting hesitantly and looking at the roof . She went near him and gave him the coffee . He drank the coffee and got up........
Arjun : Then I shall leave .
Roja : Alright .
Shenbagam came from the kitchen........
Shenbagam  : Wait Arjun , your father in law wants to meet you . He will leave his office within 10 mins .

Arjun : That's ok atthai , anyways home route and mama's office route is same . I shall meet him and go .

Shenbagam : Alright .

Arjun : Ok atthai , bye . Take care .

Shenbagam : By Arjun , take care .

Arjun left to his house .
Shenbagam : You are a lucky girl . You got a wonderful husband and me and your father have got a humble son in law .
But Roja was irked by Arjun's attitude . She went to her room and banged the door and stood near the mirror and.........
  
    Wonderful husband itseems , did he even say a bye to me ? . Only knows to scold everyone , Mr. Arrogant Arjun .

Saying so she went and stood near the window , just then she something which made her smile instantly , it was Arjun's car , he peeped out his car window , smiled at her and bid her bye . She smiled back and bid him bye . He drove his car . This small happiness was enough to make Roja smile wholeheartedly . She blushed . It was night , Arjun casually entered his room , scrolling insta after watching news . He came and sat on the bed . He spoke out assuming ,Roja was next to him......

Arjun : You sleep on the bed I shall sleep on the couch .

There wasn't any reply . He got irked , but without looking up , he was still scrolling insta and shouted.......

Arjun : Hello madam , can't you speak up back ? .

Just then he realized , Roja wasn't next to him . He felt something missing . He threw his mobile on the bed out of frustration and went to balcony .

On the other hand Roja had just freshened up , she wore her white t shirt and black pallazo and was combing her infront the mirror . While she was combing her hair , she was only thinking about Arjun . Once she finished combing her her,  she kept vermilion on her forhead . She felt she was missing Arjun , she thought to do a video call to him . But later gave up the idea .

Meanwhile Arjun was back to his room , he freshened up , wore his black cut banniyan and was rubbing his wet  hair with towel . Again he thought about Roja , he threw the towel on the chair and sat on the bed.......

   This girl is something which makes my heart is out of my control . I and mind decide not to think of her , again and again she is disturbing me . She is all over the room . Wherever I see , I find only her .

He looks at their marriage pic and smiles . He takes Roja's photo frame in his hand and starts speaking to her pic.......

Hello , I do not miss you at all . Simply , I took your pic that doesn't mean you smile at me . One sec , this is her photo so of course she'll smile . Am I gone out of sense speaking to this girl's pic ? .

Just then his phone rings......

Is Arjun missing Roja ? .
