*NOT DELIVERED*

I stare at my screen. No, no, no, no, no. This can't be happening. I try to send it again, and again. It's not working.

What do I do? What do I do? What do I-

"Mama?" Rose's voice interrupts my thinking. I almost forgot she was there. My attention snaps to her, I stop my pacing. "Late." She points at the alarm clock by the bed, showing 11:30. I was supposed to be on set. You know what... I might as well not show up at all.

I send a quick text tot the team, making up that I have an emergency back in New York City and that I won't be available for a few days. Once that's done, I toss my phone on the bed and bring out our suitcase.

"What are you doing mama?" Rose asks as she watches me pack her stuff and my things as well. She's confused, I mean I would be if I were in her shoes.

"Packing, we're going home from a little bit. Now come on we have to hurry!" Rose jumps up, all excited, screaming "We're going home!! We're going home!!" Well at least she's excited and won't fight me. Fingers crossed this mean she'll be an angel on this trip.

"Yes, we're going home." To Lita, but I left that part out.

I get our suitcases, thank God we didn't pack that much when we left New York. I put the suitcases in the back of a taxi, and we're off to the airport. The trip goes by slowly, I can't stop my knee from bouncing. I try to focus on Rose babbling, but it's hard.

We finally make it, I go up to a desk and demand two seats on the next plane to New York City. Thankfully the plane wasn't full, and we get the next one that leaves in 3 hours.

I rush us to check in and security, everything is going smoothly so far. But maybe I shouldn't say things like this, I don't want to jinx it. Next we're waiting for boarding, Rose is having her time of her life running around the boarding area and playing.

After I don't know how long, we board. I find our seat and put Rose down as I put the carry on away. The first flight, out of two, it to Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. It's only a one hour and thirty-five minus flight, we'll be alright.

I put on a movie for Rose and there, done, we're already there.

The layover is around an hour, so I rush to the other side of the airport to get us to our gate. Rose is still being good, so that's one less thing to worry about.

The next flight is a bit longer... scratch that it is longer. 8 hours. I don't know how Rosie is gonna handle that one.

Same process as a few hours before, I find our seat, put Rose down before putting our stuff away. Only this time, Rose decides she wants to sit on my lap, and we can't do that while taking off. Getting her to stay in her seat was a nightmare but at least she wasn't crying her eyes out. Just whining and wiggling like crazy. Once I know we're way up in the air and that it is safe for her, I undo her seatbelt and pull her into me. She dozes off in my arms and I let her, hoping she'll sleep for at least half of the flight.

I try to entertain myself, I tried colouring, but I zoned out, I tried watching a movie, but I got lost in my thoughts, I considered reading a book... But it reminded me of Lita.

Lita.

I can't wait to see her. I hope she's doing okay. God, I hope I didn't mess this up. Now that I think about it, it's clear as day that I'm falling for her. I mean, I'm flying halfway across the earth, with a child, when I was supposed to be working, on a whim for fuck's sake!

8 hours later and after an 11 hours journey, we make it to NYC's JFK. I look around for mom, I texted her, asking for a lift. She was confused but agreed nevertheless. Rose woke up an hour before landing so at least I didn't have to carry her around while also taking care of two suitcases and carry on.
