Someone shook Gemma, disturbing her wonderful sleep.

'If you don't move away and leave, your hands won't be attached to your body much longer,' she hissed, rolling over to the other side of her bed. All that bickering earlier had made her very cranky. Whoever was trying to wake her definitely had a death wish.

'Aguamenti!' Seconds later she was drenched. Shooting up from the bed she was about to attack when she saw that the culprit was none other than Iz.

'What the hell is your problem!' Gemma scream-whispered, not wanting to wake the others in their dorm.

'Waking you up for the annual midnight games?' Iz whispered back not at all shocked by her bad mood. Gemma had completely forgotten about that stupid tradition.

'Seriously, aren't we to old for that?' she groaned, slowly walking down the stairs to the common room.

'Nope, never!' Ted answered, appearing next to her. Next to one of the fireplaces  she saw Luke already waiting for them.

'Why are you soaked?' Luke asked, sounding concerned.

'She wouldn't get up,' Iz smirked sounding awfully happy. Ted and Luke both nodded.

'Fair enough,' Luke said. Gemma glared at him.

'I should go get changed' She muttered, glaring at Iz. 'Be right back.'

She ran upstairs to the dorm, and changed into a simple pair of black pyjamas with green stripes. Probably not the most fashionable, but it would do.

'So, what are we playing this time?' She asked, walking down the stairs, once again.

'WIZARD CHESS-'

'DRAGONS AND CHIMNEYS-'

'GOBSTONES-'

'Uno it is.' Gemma responded, after listening to them shout all at once.

'What why do you get to pick!' Ted whined.

'And I don't want to play a silly muggle game,' Iz grumbled

Gemma rolled her eyes in response.

'Too bad,' she said simply.

'Accio Uno!' Luke said, grinning a little.

.•*•.•*•.•*•.•*•.•*•.•*•.

'You can't do that!'

'Yes, I can!'

'No!'

'Yes!'

'NO!'

'YES-'

'Be quiet or the prefects will hear us you absolute idiots!' Gemma hissed at them. They were on their fifth round of uno and Ted and Iz kept fighting over the rules.

The first two rounds had been won by Luke, and then Gemma had won one, and then Iz when she started to understand all the rules. Ted somehow always ended up with the entire deck, due to both misfortune and the stupidity of showing everyone his cards by accident.

'Plus two!' Gemma said gleefully, placing down a plus two card, and looking at Luke.

'Plus four Iz,' he said, placing down another plus two.

'Well, actually, Ted has to pick up six,' she said happily, putting down a green plus two.

'Wrong!' Ted said gleefully, putting down his card. Gemma stared in horror.

'Gemma has to pick up eight!' Luke announced, and Ted and Iz burst out laughing at her.

'You started it!' Ted said. 'And- and now you have to pick up like, half the deck!'

'This game sucks,' Gemma groaned. Just as her hands touched the deck a creaking sound made them all jump.

'Uh oh,' Iz whispered, barely loud enough to hear.

'Nox.' The light from Luke's wand immediately turned off. They waited silently, not daring to make a sound, holding their breath. Were they about to get caught? Quite footsteps sounded, nearing.

'Wait a minute!' Gemma said, recognising the sound.

'Lumos!' As Iz's  wand produced light, the person standing there became more and more visible. Regulus, with a slightly shocked expression, turned around staring at them. His look quickly changed to his usual uninterested expression.

'Regulus? Where did you come from!' Luke said, very confused.

'None of your business,' he muttered about to turn around.

'Lucky Filch didn't catch you, I heard he loves hanging people upside down on chains in his cellar!' Ted called out. Regulus just rolled his eyes to that before leaving.

'Hey we are talking to you!' Iz called after him.

'Well I am not talking to you, enjoy playing your muggle kid games.' He replied from the stairs closing the door of his dorm behind him.

'What on earth happened to that guy?' Luke asked yet again

'Haven't we all been wondering that?' Gemma murmured.

'Come on, let's finish this round' Ted wailed. 'Gemma, you still have to pick up eight cards!

'Ugh, I thought you would forget' she sighed. How were so many cards supposed to fit in her hands!

'Me forgetting? Never!' He replied, laughing.

.•*•.•*•.•*•.•*•.•*•.•*•.

They finished the round, with Luke coming out victorious. It was past two a.m. and so decided they decided there was no point in sleeping.

Except they were wrong, and all ended up falling asleep in the common room.

Gemma could hear snickering, and she groggily opened her eyes to see Mulciber standing over her.

'Jumpscare,' she mocked, putting her hand on her heart.

'Have a nice nap?' He teased. 'Did you and Greengrass get kicked out of the dorms?'

Gemma moved to stand, to find Ted's arm draped around her.

'Get off you oaf,' she grumbled pushing him off, earning a more snickers from Mulciber. 'Shut up.'

'Okay okay sorry,' he said. He held out his hand for her, and she took it, standing up. She gently shook Luke to wake him up, before kicking Ted in the ribs to wake him up. She looked at Iz, and an idea struck her.

'Can you water spell her?' She asked Mulciber. He frowned.

'No? I don't have a death wish?'

'Oh come on! Please!'

'I'm already awake,' Iz called. 'So don't bother.'

Grumbling to herself, Gemma went up to the dorms to get changed. Iz followed, and Gemma had to practically drag her out, or they would be late to lessons.

'Man, I quite liked the pyjamas,' Mulciber teased.

'Shut up.'

'What's going on here?' Avery questioned, joining them with Snape, Regulus and Luciana. Regulus narrowed his eyes at her, and Gemma understood the message.

Clearly, whatever had happened between them over the last half year was well and truly over. And maybe it was better that way- they were on different sides of a war, and one side was bound to lose.

'Nothing,' Gemma said, looking away from Regulus. 'Nothing at all.'
