The two weren't far now, a few more yards and they'd reach their destination.
"You think his parents are home?" Morgan asked.
"Oh yeah, Parker said they'd be gone early." Andrew replied.
The pair made it to Parker's house, rang the doorbell, then waited. After a few seconds, Bailey opened the door.
"Hey guys! You here for the gear?" She giggled at her unintentional rhyme.
Morgan smiled along with her, "Yep, lead the way."
Bailey led them upstairs to Parker's room. Inside, Parker laid back on his bed, reading from a book titled: Demonology 101.
He briefly looked up, "Oh hey nerds! The stuff's in the drawer."
Andrew knelt in front of Parker's dresser. "Um, which one?"
   "Bottom left."
Andrew opened it and made a disgusted face. "Aw dude, really?"
Parker smirked, "What? An underwear drawer's the last place to look for occult shit."
Andrew begrudgingly dug through Parker's boxers, pulling out a few items as he did. There was a skull with wiccan symbols, an ouija board, a bootleg copy of the Necrinomicon and a small wooden cube covered in strange brass symbols.
"Hey, what's this?" Andrew held up the box. "Is it new?"
Parker looked at what Andrew was holding, immediately darted across the room, then snatched it away from him.
"Careful! I heard it's delicate! Plus, I don't even know what it does yet!" Parker held the box to his chest like it were a newborn baby.
Andrew turned away, "Alright, alright, jeez."
Andrew continued searching till he pulled out an EMF gauge.
"Got it! Thanks again for letting us borrow this, guys!"
   "No problem." Bailey grinned.
"Just don't break it like the other one, ok?" Parker grumbled, still holding onto the box.
Andrew rolled his eyes and motioned for Morgan to follow him downstairs.
Morgan looked back, "You sure y'all don't wanna come?"
Bailey looked like she was about to say something, then Parker blurted out, "No, it's our date night, ok? We ain't goin' anywhere."
Bailey gave Morgan a tiny smile and waved.
   Morgan waved back and left.

Morgan and Andrew trekked through the thick woods, using only eachothers voices and flashlights to guide them.
"We're almost there!" Andrew said, clutching the map.
As they were walking, the symphony of crickets got louder, making Morgan's eyes become heavy. Then when the cicadas kicked in, it became an unavoidable lullaby. Morgan's legs slumped.
   "Hey, you alright?"
Morgan leaned against a tree, "Yeah, I...I'm fine." She fought back a yawn.
   "C'mon, we're almost -"
   "One, two..."
Morgan looked up, eyes wide, "W - what?!"
Andrew gently pulled at her arm, "I said we're almost there. You can -"
   "...Better lock you're door..."
   Morgan covered her ears.
Andrew slung Morgan's arm over his shoulder, "Alright, we'll go, check if there's anything there, then we'll leave. Ok?"
"But...t - the ghost.." Morgan slurred.
"It's OK, it's Summer vacation, we have all the time to come back here again." Andrew reassured.
After a few more yards, Camp Crystal Lake was right in front of them. Andrew had to be careful not to jump around too much.
"Alright, alright! Morgan, can you stand up now?"
Morgan scrubbed her eyes and got to her feet. The creepy song had dissapeared.
"Yeah. Let's go catch this stupid ghost."
