001; he looked very short and scrawny in the profile photo. His face was round and topped off with a black bowl cut. Even though his eyes were a calm shade of brown it was easy to tell that they were mischeivious. 'How do we find him? His appearance probably changed just like us?' asked Seret.
Aiden opened to a blank page in his notebook and began to sketch.
'This isn't the time to work on a drawing, we need to get serious and start searching.' Said Seret.
Aiden didn't even acknowledge what she had said, he just continued to draw. Seret shook her head in slight disappointment and analysed the rest of the page to find any other clues. Just like the rest, most of the information was blocked out. All Seret could make out were words like swift, undoubtably, natural, light and no further. She noticed that he had also "passed" the test. Seret ruminated about the facts. She supposed that his ability had something to do with motion. As she was coming up with a conclusion, Aiden handed her the notebook saying, 'He should look something like this, maybe just slightly different.' Seret examined the portrait. It was surprisingly very well drawn and looked quite realistic. 'How can you be sure he looks like this? Didn't our appearances change?' she asked Aiden.'Well, yes, they did. But only most noticeably our eye and hair colour. Everything else pretty much remained the same like our facial features. For example, you still have a tiny snub nose as you did in the picture.'
'Hey, that's mean!' Seret clasped her hands on her nose, 'My nose isn't a tiny snub, is it?'
'My point is that he shouldn't look too different. It would only be his hair and eyes that changed, obviously he wouldn't be as short either.'
'I knew that of course; you didn't have to mention it!'
'Whatever. My guess is that his ability is -'
'Agility.' Jumped Seret.
'What?' Aiden frowned with confusion.
'That's what you were gonna say, weren't you? I guessed it quicker.' Said Seret very wittily. One downside of Seret working with Aiden was her competitiveness. She didn't strive to be the best, but she couldn't bear it when others made her feel dumb. She knew this would become a problem ever since she truly saw Aiden's ability, but she yearned for just one win against him to heal her ego.
'Firstly, what I was going to say was speed. And secondly, how does "agility" qualify as an enhanced human capability?'
'Speed, yeah, that's the one. That's exactly what I had meant.'
'Um, okay.' Replied Aiden, showing no interest in explaining to her. He then slipped out a cell phone from his other pocket and turned it on.
'Isn't that dangerous?' asked Seret.
'I only brought it along in case we needed help. We should be fine as long as we don't keep it on for too long.' he said as he dialed a number and put it on loudspeaker. They both kept silent, waiting for someone to answer. Soon, the ringing stopped.
'You got Millie here.' Answeared a woman with a mild British accent.
'Millie, it's Aiden.' Replied Aiden.
'Oh, Addy! It's been so long since I've seen that little pumpkin face of yours. How are you dear?' asked Millie.
Seret's face tensed with laughter. Aiden quickly signaled Seret, telling her not to laugh, 'I'm doing good, thanks. Millie, I need a favour.'
'Sure, anything for you! What will it be then?'
'I need to find someone, an old friend. I don't have an exact picture, just a look alike. Will you be able to do it?'
'Hmm.' She thought for a moment. 'Will probably take a little while, but yeah! Send it through and I'll see to it.'
'Okay.' Aiden took a photo of his sketch and emailed it to her.
