Zak/Skeppy POV

Darryl marches me towards the school as I continue to complain.

My head is still killing me, even though the painkillers have kicked in, and I'm exhausted before we've even gotten halfway to school.

"Darryl, please." I stop walking, holding a hand up to signal I need a break. "I'm so tired. Can't we just skip today?"

"We are not skipping, Zak. I already ditched class with you yesterday." He takes my backpack from me. "Here, I'll carry your stuff. That should make it easier."

I thank him and continue walking.

My friends are spamming me, and I busy myself texting them back.

I shut off my phone and catch up with Darryl. I can see the school in the distance and I'm trying to stall as much as possible.

"Darryl can't we at least get breakfast first?" I beg.

He glances at me and rolls his eyes. "Fine. I don't know why I put up with you."

"Yayyy! There's a coffee place right across the street, let's go!" I sound like a child, but I don't care.

Grabbing Darryl's hand, I dash past the school to the small breakfast place.

The inside is homey with a bookish theme. It smells like cinnamon.

A sweet looking girl with pink hair greets us with a smile, I read her name tag. Niki.

"Hi! What can I get for you today?" She's very energetic, and it brings a smile to my face.

"I'll have...two small hot chocolates, a chocolate chip muffin, and a blueberry muffin." I list.
