Bunnymund looked even sadder then before. He had not only seen Jack Frost die, he also had seen his first believer die. Again. North picked up the fragile figure of Jack in his arms. "Till we meet again." Bunny said to Pitch, following North and the others to the sleigh. Pitch just nodded, and when he had glanced one last time at Jack, he took Midnights hand and disappeared into the shadows. The guardians went in the sleigh. Since North had to ride the sleigh, he handed Jack to Bunnymund. The giant rabbit held the boy close as they took of to the north pole. The pale, normally cold skin, felt colder then ever before. "Jackson..." Bunnymund whispered softly, hoping that no one else had heard. But Sandy did. The little golden man walked over to Bunnymund and laid his hand on the fluffy shoulder. "Jackson?" He signed with those beautiful golden signs above his head. "That's his real name. From before he became Jack Frost. His name was Jackson Overland, a happy child. Everyone loved him. From young to old. Years after his death, people told their children about him." Bunnymund said. Sandy nodded in agreement. Finally, they arrived and hopped out of the sleigh. As soon as they got out, a yeti came running over. It was Phil, the head-yeti. When Phil saw Jack, he angrily walked over to North, giving him a lecture. North looked at the ground in shame. In every other case, the others would have laughed, and Jack the loudest of them all. But now, they didn't. Instead, they also looked at the ground. Phil snatched Jack away from Bunny and walked away. The others, desperate to find out where the yeti was going to, quickly followed Phil trough the manny corridors of the workshop. The yeti walked into a room. Everyone, exept for North, raised an eyebrow. North just sighed and entered the room. When the others entered too, realisation hit them as a brick wall. It was Jack's room. It was never used, so it was a strange fact that there was no dust in the room. The walls were baby blue, with white snowflakes adoring them. A white bed with blue sheets on it. There was also a white dresser and a little desk with a chair. North had put weeks in making the room. Phil had laid the boy down in the bed and had tucked him in already. Jack looked like he was sleeping. More peaceful then ever. The guardians sighed, got somse chairs and took a seat. Hours went by, but it felt like ages, looking at the immortal, now dead teen.

Midnight sat curled up i the black couch they owned. Her tears had long ago dried, so now she was reliving al the good memories she had had with Jack. The laughter, the happy tears, the smiles, the hugs and kisses. She sighed while thinking at the last one. How she already missed his presence. Even Pitch seemed affected by it. Hours he had spend yelling at the moon, cursing for taking the life of the innocent kid. Midnight didn't do that because she knew it wouldn't bring her Jack back. She blamed herself. She thought she should have tried to convince him not to go, to stay with her. Then he wouldn't be dead right now. But wat has happened, has happened. You can't go back in the past. Thinking about Jack, Midnight finally dozed off to sleep.

~ back at the north pole ~
The guardians sat in the globe room. They couldn't bare to stay with the dead Jack any longer. Tooth was crying silently while North hold her, letting her cry. Sandy sar in a lonely corner, a look of pure guilt written on his face. Bunny sat alone too, he was sobbing over Jack. "Bunny, are you okay?" The delicate voice of Tooth asked, still trilling. "Do you think i'm okay?! Jack is dead and i couldn't do anything about it!" The rabbit snapped. Soon, he realized the damage he had done to the fairy. "Sorry Tooth. I'm just really sad. I wish Jack was here. He was too young, it wasn't his time." Tooth nodded, as a sign that she understood. Tears were burning behind Bunny's eyes. Then, he couldn't hold himself anymore and let all the tears he had left. Every guardian -exept for Jack- joined in a group hug. Not a hug full of laughter, no, one full of tears and grieve. Then, as soon as it came, the hug was over. North opened his mouth to say something, but Phil barged in. "Bragheagrega! Bragheagrega brabha jabreg!" He yelled. Ofcourse no one but North and Jack could understand what the yeti was saying, but everyone noticed the relief in hus eyes. But not only relief, no. Also... Happines? North's eyes grew wide and he looked like someone had come back from the death.

"Jack? Really?"
