"Okay then." Jack held up his hands as a sign of surrander. Pitch just chuckled and ruffled Jack's hair. "Imma get out of this bed." Jack said and litterly jumped out of the bed. "Okay, but take it easy. Deal?" "Deal." Jack shook Pitch's hand and then quickly left the room. Pitch smiled and then went back to planning. Jack just walked around the liar for a couple hours. He couldn't find Midnight so he went to the library. He was surprised that he knew where the library was. Jack looked around in the library and finally founded a book. It was a book about dragons. He always imagined about them. Where they real? He hoped to face one on a day, but now, he would just read the book. The first page was about a gronkle. He was fascinated about the force of the dragon. He continued reading.

~le time skip to two hours later~ Midnight came back from a flight with the wind. She jumped in the hole and landed on her face. "So long and still not used to it." She mumbled to herself. "Wonder how Jack is." She spoke and went to Jack's bedroom. The girl knocked on the door. No answer. Midnight just walked in. Nobody there. Strange... Normally Jack should be in his room. She went to her father to see if he knew where Jack was. Midnight knocked and waited for response. Pitch opened the door. "What is wrong, sweetie?" "Have you seen Jack? I can't find him." "I saw him in the library a few hours ago. I would go check there first." "Jack!? Reading!? You gotta be kidding me." Midnight exclaimed. "No, actually, i am speaking the truth." Pitch said. Midnight just rolled her eyes, not believing her father. But checking wouldn't hurt, right? She walled to the library, finding Jack in an armchair, reading a book. Midnight decided to play a game with Jack, so she crept up to Jack and covered his eyes with her hands. "Who am i?" Midnight teased. Jack just went along with the game. "Mmmh, Pitch?" The spirit asked. "Nope."
"Are you Bunny?"
"Nope, still wrong."
"Toothiana?"
"No Jackie."
"Ahah, i know it. My precious Midnight."
"Ding ding!"
Midnight removed her hands from Jack's eyes. "Hey, Midnight." Jack said while he gave the black haired girl a kiss. "Hey Jackie. How are you feeling today?" "I am good, thank you." Jack answered. "My dad told me you were here. I didn't believe him at first, but here you are, reading a book. You are reading!" "Yes i am." Jack said casually. "Who are you and what did you do to my Jackie?" "Nothing! It is me, i swear. Just a good book." The spirit continued reading again. "Well, then i will leave you alone right now. I'm tired. Goodnight Jackie!" "Goodnight!" Jack said and gave Midnight one last kiss. Pitch was still figuring some things out. He decided to get sleep tonight, but first, he would go check up on Midnight and Jack. First, he went to Midnight. She was sleeping peacefully. Then, the boogeyman went to Jack. No one there. Where would he be? Maybe still in the library! Pitch transported himself to the library with a little help from the shadows. Jack was there, sleeping on the chair, with the book on his chest. Pitch shook his head and took the book away. He picked Jack up, again, and carried him to his room. He put down Jack in his bed and tucked him in, again. The book was on his nightstand. He left the room and went to his own room. As soon as Pitch Blacks head touched the pillow, he fell asleep. No dreams, no nightmares, just black.

~meanwhile at north pole~
Everyone seemed sad. Jack Frost was going to die. "We don't even need a plan right now. Jack is going to die, and there's nothing we can do about it." North said half angry, half disappointed. "Yes we can. Change your fate, you know? We can save Jack, if we don't kill him, and we protect him from Pitch, how can he even die?" Bunny tried to be optimistic, but failed to do so. "Maybe it's our fault he left. I mean, we ignored him for fifty years. It must be hard when the only people you can trust, are ignoring you. He told us it wasn't his intention to ruin easter, right? It is all our fault." Toothiana explained. After doing so, she started crying. The others thought about it, and then realised it probably was true. He seemed more sad since he was a guardian. Bunny feeled guelty, he realised he was being harsh with the teen. Why didn't he just forgive the boy? Why ignoring him for fifty years? He had let the boy relive the 300 years of not being seem or heard by others, but then with people he trusted. Bunny felt terrible to know no one saw him. The boy had felt that way for 300 years. Bunny couldn't imagine how bad it would be. HE was guilty. HE did this, and HE was going to make up with the young huardian again. Change your fate. No, change Jack's fate. The day after Christmas, Pitch Black was going down, and this time forever. Bunny would take care of that himself. "North, what about we all help you on Christmas? It will be less work. And, the more the merrier, right?" Bunny offered the overworked guardian. "Sound good for me!" Tooth cheered. Finally something to take her mind of Jack. Sandy nodded in agreement and North couldn't do anything else than agree too. "Okay. But, we all take the sleigh." Tooth and Sandy were good with it, but Bunnymund had a little bit of a problem with the sleigh. Just to make North happy, he sighed and agreed. "Deal, mate. And after, we bloody prepare ourselfes to save Jack from his horrible fate." Bunny demanded. The three others cheered loudly. After, they went to sleep. It would be hard to save Jack, but they would give everything to get him safe.
