It's been three days since Allen tried to kill himself and he hasn't had any contact with his friends since. Nea took away his phone while he was on his "mental health break" as Nea put it. Allen wasn't mad at him for doing so because he knew why he did it. Allen had vented to him about everything and now Nea was just trying to protect him. Allen found it cute.
As of right now, Nea took Allen shopping. At first, he tried to buy him expensive things, but Allen got disgusted, so they went to a regular shopping district. Allen was enjoying his time there and that made Nea happy. They were shopping at a bookstore so Allen could expand his half-empty bookshelf. Nea went off to the romance section while Allen went to the horror section.
He was looking for a good one until one caught his attention. It has on the upper shelf and Allen reached for it. His fingers couldn't even touch the shelf itself. He huffed and started jumping, but that didn't work. He kept trying until he felt someone's arm coil around his waist. His breath hitched as he got pulled into the person behind him. "You really are a moyashi," the person comments. He immediately knew who it was and a feeling of relief washes over him.
"It's Allen, BaKanda." Allen retorts. Kanda grabs Allen's wanted book with ease. He releases Allen and hands him the book. Allen faces Kanda and smiles. "Why are you ditching school? It's supposed to be 4th period right now." Allen questions. "Could ask you the same thing." Kanda retorts. "Tell me yours and I'll tell you mine," Allen says. Kanda smirks. "I didn't feel like attending today because you and Nea aren't there to take attention off of me and I can't entertain myself if you're not there," Kanda says.
Allen raises an eyebrow. "Oh really?" he questions. Kanda nods. "Now tell me why you're here and not at school," Kanda demands. 'Should I tell him?' Allen questions. 'Maybe? He isn't the type to tell people anything and he won't get all pushy and sad about it.' Allen debates in his head. He sighs. "Nea forced a mental health break on me and took my phone away due to all the cyberbullying I was receiving," Allen says, trying to avoid making things awkward. Kanda hums.
"I see. The nerds have been worried about you and couldn't break into your house because they don't know where you live." Kanda informs. Allen sighs. "Tell them that I'm fine and you ran into me at the park or something," Allen says. Kanda nods. Kanda starts to walk away, but Allen grabbed his sleeve lightly. He didn't know by he did that, but he just didn't want Kanda to leave. Allen walks up close to him and presses his body against his arm. Allen looks up at Kanda.
To Kanda, that was the cutest sight he's ever seen. Allen's innocent, shimmering golden eyes looked up at his cold cobalt ones. "Please don't leave." Allen pleads. Allen didn't intentionally do this, he just thought the extra weight on Kanda's arm would make him stop moving.
Kanda started to blush. "Why?" He asked as he quickly looked away from the small boy beside him. "I'm bored and lonely. You can only spend so much time with Cross and Nea before you start to go insane." Allen replies. Kanda sighs and calms himself. "Or maybe you just want to be around a big and strong Alpha like myself," he says with a smirk. Allen laughs. "In your dreams, BaKanda!" he jokes. They both smile at each other and they both feel their hearts skip a beat.
Kanda takes his free hand and lifts Allen's chin. Allen blushes a bit. Their faces slowly lean into each other. They feel the others' breath hit their lips. They begin closing their eyes.
"Allen! I found this great romance novel!" Nea shouts.
The pair quickly stop what they were about to do and blush profusely. "O-Oh, you have?" Allen questions. "Yeah! Oh, hey Kanda!" Nea greets. Kanda just scoffs. "Awww, so cold!" Nea says. "Anyway, Allen you should totally read this with me! It looks so good!" he adds. Allen gives him a dead expression. "No, the stuff you pick is usually horrible and boring," he says. The words "horrible" and "boring" stab Nea. "You don't have to be so cruel," Nea says as his esteem withers away. Allen laughs at him.
The three continue to converse and they buy their books. Nea decided to give Allen some space so he could hang out with Kanda. The two took advantage of that and actually got along. There was occasional bickering, but it was friendly bickering. The two of them found something out but didn't tell each other. Allen liked Kanda and Kanda liked Allen. It bothered both of them at first, but they've learned to accept it.
Since Kanda hid his attraction and Allen hid his. Nothing was created from this revelation, but they both wanted to be next to each other more often. As a couple of hours pass, (and Nea basically stalking them), the two boys decide to part ways. Nea happens to "cross paths" with them at a "coincidental" time. He picks up Allen and they drive off.
"So, how did your date with your little boyfriend go~?" Nea coos. Allen blushes. "I-It was not a-a date and he is not my boyfriend!" Allen shouts. Nea teases him a bit more until Allen shouts, "Okay! I have a crush on him! Stop bothering me! He wouldn't even want me anyway so stop gushing about it...". Nea sighs and ruffles his nephew's hair. 'Bullshit that kid doesn't like him! I saw what happened in the library.' Nea thinks to himself.
