Chapter 13: Car Lessons and Binge Shopping!

Tbh, I might write a Laven fic after I finish this one lmao

          Allen tossed and turned in his bed. It was hotter than Satan's asshole in the state of California. He even decided to wear a short-sleeved shirt! Allen sighed as he got a notification on his phone. He checked it to see that Lavi had texted him. He told him to meet him at the shopping district near the school. Allen didn't feel like doing anything due to how hot it was but accepted it anyway.

          He didn't even bother putting on a different shirt and he just kept his long-ish boxers on. He ran downstairs and put his sandals on. Nea is off at some recording studio to make his new album and Cross was at some bar. He sighed as he grabbed the keys to one of Nea's extra cars. 'Nea is going to kill me.' Allen thought as he approached the car. He unlocked it and climbed inside. 'Well, time to put what I watched Mana, Nea, Lavi, and Cross do and put it into practice.' Allen said in his mind and started the car.

          Fear struck him as he started to drive out of the entryway. Allen has never driven a car before nor has he been to driver's school. He's on his own here. He exits the entryway and drives down the culdesac. He sweats even more from the anxiety. He turns on the AC to full blast and rolls the windows down a quarter way down. 

          Allen manages to successfully drive out of the residential district without any issues. 'Now, onto the main road. This is will be difficult.' Allen thinks to himself and gulps. He drives onto the main road and tries to calm down.

          After what seemed like an eternity in Hell, Allen finally managed to get to the shopping district without damaging Nea's car. He fist pumps in victory. He steps out of the car and looks around. He spots Lavi. He runs over to the redhead and smiles. "Lavi! I just drove a car for the first time!" Allen boasts. Lavi lights up. "No way you did! Oh my god! How'd it feel!?" Lavi asks. "Exciting, stressful, and scary all at once!" Allen admits. 

          The two gush over driving and go on a walk for a bit. They reach some interesting shops and buy everything that looks good. Of course, Allen had to steal Nea's credit card for this. The two stuffed items into Nea's car and Lavi bought the two of them some popsicles. They sat down at a park and started eating. They talked about random things and Allen confessed to dating Kanda. Lavi was excited and started to gush over them. 

          Allen was genuinely happy with his life for once. Sure, school was still rough, he needed a therapist, and his beloved father isn't here anymore, but he was content with how things are now. 

          The pair continue to joke, eat, complain about the heat, and buy things until Allen gets a phone call. He sweats even more once he sees it's from Nea. Allen accidentally hands up and freaks out even more. Lavi makes fun of him until he gets a call from Nea. Why would Nea be calling him unless......

          They felt a scary glare shoot through them. They hesitantly look behind them and see a very angry Nea. "On the count of now, we run!" Allen shouts and the two run while Nea chases them. The rest of the day was them running from Nea and Nea punishing the two. Today was a very energetic and hectic day for Allen and Lavi.
