Lucas's POV
I've been riding my bike for around 10 minutes now. Max is still unconscious on my back."Max?! Max, Max?! Please talk to me, Max, please," I say through sobs but nothing, she's still bleeding all over me.
"We're almost there," I say. The doctors will help her.
They have to.
After a minute, I can see the gate, and I start screaming for Will, or honestly, anyone. "Will Erica help? Call an ambulance! Please call an ambulance!" I scream.
Will's POV
Me and Erica were sitting on the couch by the gate. My mom went to the toilet. I was scared, waiting for someone to come, hoping everyone would be okay. Erica was scared too I could see it.A scream brought me out of my thoughts. I didn't know who it was at first, but then I went closer to the gate and saw Lucas on a bike, riding like a maniac, covered in blood.
"What?" I said I was looking at Erica. She looked at me confused, but then I saw Max leaning at his back, and I finally understood what he was screaming "Will! Please call an ambulance! Please!" He yelled
"Shit, Erica, go call an ambulance!" I yelled, and she quickly ran out to the cell phone.
"Mom! Lucas is here! Come here quickly!" I yelled, and my mom came seconds later.
Lucas jumped off his bike and took Max in his arms, bridal style. He ran with her through the gate, and me and my mom finally got to look at Max.
She was pale as if she had lost every drop of blood. She had these bloody bandages on her wrist, stomach, thighs, and legs.
"What the hell?!" I scream out of terror and panic.
Lucas flew into the room and put Max down on the couch. "Oh my god," my mom says, and she quickly goes to grab a first aid kit while Erica's calling the ambulance.
Lucas is breathing heavily while looking at Max and trying to calm himself down.
It's just then I realized Max's eyes are fluttering a bit. I'm confused, very confused. "Wait, What?" I say.
Lucas looks at me and says, "She's awake," while catching breath. My eyes widen with fear and happiness at the same time. Happiness because she was finally awake, and fear because she was awake and living through this unimaginable pain.
"She's awake," he repeats with a small smile, and tears once again escape his eyes.
Lucas's POV
"Wait, What?" I hear Will say I look at him and whisper, "She's awake." I set my eyes on her and catch my breath. "She's awake," I repeat, slightly smiling.God, she is gorgeous.
I mean, she's not really conscious right now, but she woke up from her coma. How? I have no idea. But she just woke up after 5 months.
I'm not letting her out of my sight again, ever.
Then I see Joyce with a first-aid kit. I take off her bloody bandages and start replacing them with new ones. Joyce and Will are helping me.
Erica barges through the door. "I called the ambulance they should be here soon," she said, out of breath.
I sighed, knowing she was still in unbearable pain.
Joyce is trying to stop the bleeding, and her beautiful eyes open for a few seconds.
"Hey, Max, baby, it's okay. Hold on for me, please." I beg her with tears all over my face, but before she even has the chance to open her mouth, she passes out.
❤️🩹
Five minutes went by, and Joyce managed to slow down the bleeding. Thank God.
I was panicking. Where the hell was the ambulance? A person is literally dying.
When I finally hear sirens, I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, and it doesn't take long before some lifeguards barge into the room and put Max on a stretcher.
Unfortunately, only one person was allowed to go in the ambulance. We decided it should be me after all, I'm the most close to her.
I hopped into the ambulance, Max was already there on the stretcher with the lifeguards doing something to her.
I ran over to her side and grabbed her hand. Lifeguards started to cut her clothes so they could see her wounds, leaving her in just her bra and some hospital shorts.
They gave her a breathing mask and started to disinfect her injuries. I was kind of glad she wasn't awake right now, because I can't imagine how badly that would have hurt.
Then she grimaced.
Could she feel it? I think to myself. I didn't waste time and asked the doctors, "Can she feel pain? I thought she was asleep."
"Well, sometimes even when you're asleep, you feel pain usually it wakes you up, but since your girlfriend is in a very weak state right now, she can't."
I blushed a bit at the fact that she called her my girlfriend, but a shaking sob left my throat as I realized how much she was suffering.
After about 5 minutes, we got to the hospital. The doctors talked about how they have to sew up the wounds, but other than that, I didn't really understand what they were saying.
I was scared for both her physical and mental health.
What's going to happen to her now?
I was crying like a baby, scared about the condition that the love of my life was in.
The doctors wheeled her on the stretcher into a room, and just as I was about to come in, they stopped me.
"You can't come in here," one of the doctors said, blocking the way in. "But I have to, let me in!" I screamed. It's not like I didn't expect it. I knew they wouldn't let me in, but I still wanted to do something about it. I had to help her.
The doctors pulled me out. "We're sorry you can't come," said one of the doctors.
I had no choice but to sit down in the waiting room, having no idea what they were doing to my love.
