January 2019
It I was now a new year. After Christmas, Evelyn told Fiona that she has to go to Paris for 3 months. Adams said she wouldn't go if she's still upset over Zoey, but Fiona practically threw her out the door, with no hesitation. As much as she appreciated her concern, it was getting annoying. Being away from each other for 3 months, meant they'd be long distance for awhile, which was new to Fiona. Eve said that she'd try to come home, but wasn't a promise.A few nights before Adams left, they were discussing a new job for Fiona. Somewhere she couldn't be recognized and was a part time job. After awhile, they decided on art. It's not Fiona's biggest strong suit, but Eve saw her drawings and told her that there actual potential. Ever since, Fiona's been trying to figure out what to draw or paint, or something. Getting into something that you have no experience doing was difficult. After an hour of trying to come up with something, Fiona threw the pencils on the floor with a groan. A child could understand what to do, but not her? She muttered some harsh cuss words.
January 14 was Jennifer's birthday, and Eve was unfortunately stuck in Paris. Which was expected, but it meant Fiona is alone, and knew nobody. She debated on not going at all, but Adams said that she had to go and it'd look back if she didn't. Fiona felt nearly pathetic for how much she missed Eve. How do people do long distance relationships for years? Eve wouldn't be back until March. It felt lonely having Adams gone. Their house quickly became quiet, disturbingly quiet and she hated it. If they weren't having sex then, they definitely won't be now. It's so boring.
Of course, Jennifer started coming over the day Adams left. Fiona and Jennifer weren't friends, but they could tolerate being in the same rooms. Lily missed her Eve more than Fiona did. She said it felt like when she's in Paris for the summer, miles away from Eve. Eve told her she had a few hours to call, so fiona showered and put on something Eve would like. She waited 5 minutes, but that soon turned into half an hour then an hour. Adams apologized for being caught up in work, but Fiona's mood was already ruined.
January 26, 2019
It was unfortunately a raining day, and Fiona had absolutely no energy to do anything. It was cold and rainy, the worst weather. She knew that she needed to get out the house and do something. Fiona's mind drifted off to art, which was a sore subject, but would be good to look for tools. After her shower, she threw on something simple and headed out. Fiona had found a Hobby Lobby, it's a good place for art supplies. She's probably been here nearly 2 hours, and was still lost. Everything in this place was so new to her, it was giving her a headache. While Fiona was skimming through the paint aisle, when she accidentally ran into some chick."Oh, my god. I'm sorry" Fiona apologized, but the woman was clearly fine. She's this beautiful, older 5'8, skinny blonde chick.
The woman chuckled reassuring. "You're fine, honestly. This you're first time?" She asks Fiona, who pulled a tight smile. Idiot.
"How could you tell?" She chuckled, and scratched the back of her head nervously.
"Because I've seen you a hundred times, and you have two things in your basket" The older woman informed her, as Fiona looked down at her basket. She's been here for two hours, but the only things she had were Black paint and a single paint brush.
Way to go, dumbass. "Yeah. My girlfriend suggested taking up art as a hobby, and just a little confused" Fiona informed the woman, as a light bulb had went off.
Later down the line, she would deeply regret becoming friends with this woman, but that is for a later date. "Lucky for you, I own an art business. So, could I at least help you out?" The older woman asked Fiona, as if she wasn't going to ask her for advice.
"Yes, please. Fiona" She said, holding her hand out for the older woman to shake.
The older woman pulled a tender smile, and put her hand to shake Fiona's. "Claire" She said, and Gallagher got some good advice.
After the woman gave Gallagher advice on art supplies, she gave her number to Claire, just in case. When Fiona got home, she set everything out on the island and sent Eve a photo. Adams smiled when she got the text, and she was more than proud. Too bad she wasn't there to show her. Fiona finally got some inspiration and the stress slid off her shoulders. At dinner, Gallagher could sense that there was something off with Lily. It's been like this for awhile, but Fiona chucked it up to Eve being in Paris. Talking with teen girls wasn't her really thing, Debbie was a perfect prime example. Before she knew Lily was going to bed, she walked down the hall. Fiona knocked softly and got a response.
"Hi. Um. I know that it's probably not any of my business, but I can tell something's been off recently. Do you want to talk?" She shrugged, and sat down on Lily's bed, and Fiona immediately knew she was right.
"Sophie and I broke up. Apparently I was an experiment to her, but the entire time she had a boyfriend. The sad things is I loved her, but I guess that's over now" Lily explained and she wanted to smack the kid who hurt her. This probably happened after her birthday, which is hard for any teenager.
"What a bitch. I'm sorry. Maybe you should talk to your mom about this" Fiona told her, and she rubbed her arm in comfort.
Lily still hasn't come out to Evelyn, and she understood why. "Yeah. That's probably a good idea" The younger Adams had shrugged. Afterwards, Fiona took a relaxing bath, and finally got to have a conversation with Eve.
"So, how was your day?" Adams asked, as Fiona rubbed bubbles against her chest.
"Good. I got some art supplies and finally had a break through. I made a friend" She tells Eve, and gave her a content chuckle.
"Really? What's her name?" Eve asked, as Fiona rubbed body wash against her legs.
"Claire and she's quite older, but she was really pretty. I think you'd like her" Fiona informed Eve, who wasn't expecting that kind of description. Older woman?
For some reason, Adams mind had went to a dark place for a second, but pushed that quickly. Weird. "She helped out my girl, of course I will" Eve said and had a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach.
