The jet touched down at Vargas, a small tourist spot at the north coast of Venezuela, the nearest landing spot to the map's final destination - a small island in the middle of the Caribbean Sea named St. Augustine.
They took a shuttle to the harbor, where a luxury yacht awaited them, an impressive one-hundred-foot body with three upper decks. All eyes widened except JoJo.
"This will do." she only shrugged.
Visiting the Caribbean, JoJo couldn't pass the opportunity of a tropical cruise, but the Aspidochelone was at the Mediterranean, it takes days at top speed to reach Vargas, so she rented one for the time being.
They brought out the map and showed the captain, planned a route north to find St. Augustine Island. With hours to spend on the open sea, the girls broke out their bathing suits and tanning oil.
"Why didn't you take the proposal? I would." asked Emira rubbing sun lotion to her skin.
"You would marry anyone who buys you lunch, Em." Tilly turned to Chloe. "But he seems such a nice guy, what were you thinking?"
"Nothing. It's just we barely know each other."
"Didn't Brooke only met her husband twice before marry?"
"She got pregnant, that's why they married."
"But you see how happy they are. How much she changed when she has a family." JoJo said.
"Yes." Chloe looked out the open sea. "They are so happy."
From the horizon she spotted smoke, rising of a small boat in a distance.
"What's that?" others also spotted.
"Looks like a ship in distress."
"Should we take a look?"
"No." the Captain stood behind her, watching through his binoculars. "We'll inform the coast guards."
"But that might take hours!"
"We can drop flotation devices for them, but we do not go near them. Pirates are active in this part of the water."
Suddenly there came a siren from the deck, a crew stuck out the window and shouted something. The Captain turned east with his binoculars.
"Everyone get inside." his tone changed.
"What's going on?"
"It's just for precaution."
Despite their skill sets, they respect the Captain's order, went under deck and hid in a room, drew all curtains to block the view. Moments later they felt the direction change.
The window was at sea level, behind the curtains they could see small motorboats catching up, surrounding the big yacht like a pack of wolves, onboard were men carrying assault rifles.
"Pirates?" Masha asked. "At this day and age?"
"Were you expecting one-eyed-jack with a sword?" Emira asked, then saw Chloe's eye patch "Sorry."
"No, but a parrot would be nice. I always wanted a parrot."
"Guys. We should be gearing up." Chloe grew cautious.
On the deck, the crew was held at gunpoint, the bandit began searching through the yacht.
At lower deck, one searched from room to room until he reached the last door. As he was reaching for the doorknob, the whole door panel blew out, sending him down the corridor. Before he made out what happened, he saw a giant figure in swimsuit reached for his face.
Hearing the commotion, more men headed down the stairs, but they were met by a powerful shock wave, enough to send them back out the upper deck.
On the bridge where the Captain and his crew were held, one of the two pirates felt a punch by an invisible fist, something knocked him back and pinned him to a wall. It was an arrow on his shoulder.
Looking out the window he saw a white girl in bikini drawing a bow, shot out a second arrow through the window and nailed his shipmate to a cabinet. She loaded her third arrow and ready to shoot.
Those who made it out alive quickly retreated to their boats, speeding away as Masha fired at them with their own rifles. Tilly aimed and fired a pulse, causing one of the motorboat engines to explode.
"Yeah! You run like rats. D'you hear?" yelled Emira swinging her fist, kicking the remaining bandits overboard.
Camryn quickly pulled out a medical kit to treat the wounded, the Captain had a cut on his brow, no doubt assaulted by the pirates.
"Where did you say you girls are from?" he asked in disbelief.
"Catholic school." Tilly laughed.
"We should get out of here, before they come back with more fire power."
"Will they come back?" Camryn worried.
"They travel in packs. They were probably just testing the water, they'll become more active at night."
"Then we'll greet them with more fire power!" said Masha cocking her rifle.
Seeing the crew reluctant, Chloe didn't want to push.
"No. We'll find some place to hide for the night."
