I watched them fall like snowflakes,
Until they were all on the floor.

I don't know if anyone caught on, but its taking about teeth.
So you can use whatever back story you want, but let me share one.
So a man got kidnapped by a female serial killer who calls herself teeth, and before she kills her victim, she has one 'simple' question, "How many teeth do you have?"
The victims are allowed to answer and then she proceeds to keep them awake and tied down while she pulls their teeth out, even going as far as forcing them to count with her.
If they're correct, she lets them go but not before letting them be the one to blindly choose her next victim from a stack of pictures.
And the cycle goes one, with most ending up dead.
