In the dimly lit bar, sat Gabrijela Kavynier. She had her right leg elegantly crossed over her left. Maybe it was her beauty, so tantalizing. Both men and women were captivated by her beauty, but none dared to approach. There was something about her that made her seem so far away, so unreachable. Although she was surrounded by people with loud music thumping around her, she was present in her own world, separated from rest.

Her dark eyes trailed her finger that was tracing the rim of her drink as her mind wandered to him. Thoughts of what could have been, invaded her mind and she hated that even when he was 6 feet under, he still managed to haunt her. All these years, she had many lovers but none of them could par up to him, even when she thought that she was finally happy, her heart would not let her have her peace. So annoying.

She had managed to bury those feelings all those years while she stood by his side as his friend. When they had decided to part, on good terms, her mind had made up that he was not the guy whom she first fell for. But her heart. Her heart occasionally cried out for him, even more so on this date. She was confused as to why her heart felt this way, granted this date had marked the date when they had first got together, however, that was more than a century ago.

Her ruby red lips parted in a chuckle. Fucking stupid. Her lips kissed the glass as she threw back her head, the bone dry martini traveled down her throat smoothly this time, unlike the first glass. This time, she did not flinch as she felt the cold drink burn her throat. In fact she welcomed it. She needed it to forget, even if it is just for a second. She raised a finger to Sam, indicating that she wanted another. No. Needed another. She wanted to drink until the burn was no more. Drunk until her mind went blank. Drunk until she forgot his stupidly handsome face. Pathetic. I bet I'd be crying again if I had any more tears left in me.

Sam was reluctant. This was already her 23rd glass, 57 shots of vodka to be exact. But he was in no place to decline and stop her, for she was the owner of the bar. Heck she was the owner of the hotel that the bar was under. If he did not comply, he was afraid that she would dismiss him from the only decently paid part time job out of the four he currently held. In addition, his probation period was due for a full time contract that would double his current salary, which would allow him to quit his other three jobs. He quickly made the cocktail and passed it to her.

Maybe I should try calling Mr Lancelot again. Thinking that Gabrijela was on the brink of drinking herself to death, Sam hurried over to the back office to give Conroy a call. It was common knowledge to all the employees at the Grande Bar, or any alcohol establishment that Gabrijela frequented, to inform Conroy that Gabrijela had started drinking. He would usually instruct the employee to keep a close eye on Gabrijela and to make sure that she did not wander about alone. He would usually arrive at her side within an hour or so of being informed. However, today, no matter how many times they called him, they were unable to get a hold of him.

Meanwhile, at the bar counter, Gabrijela took one last swig before deciding that she had enough. She uncrossed her legs and stood up, swaying ever so slightly that one would not notice unless they focused on her. She usually loves taking a walk after drinking, to enjoy how quiet and still her mind becomes, before heading off to bed. Another one of the habits she had picked up in her previous life.

Her mind was finally a haze, but that did not stop her from walking with elegance as she strode out of the bar, unaware that she had caught the eye of a predator.

In all 120 years of her life, Gabrijela had never been preyed on before. She never could have thought that someone would try and force themselves on her. Even though her life had its ups and downs, she always felt that she was divinely protected. Even in her previous life. Any misfortune or hardships that happened was due to divine timing and that it all happened for a reason. But for some reason, sexual abuse had never really registered as a misfortune that the divine would put her through. How contradicting and ridiculous she must sound.

As she walked past a dim lit alley further from the Grande Colossal, she felt a cold slimy hand over her mouth while the other slid in front of her waist as they dragged her into the dimly lit alley. A shiver of disgust traveled down her spine as she felt someone's hot wet breath on her neck. Oh how she hated being touched by others.

In one move, the stranger turned her around, and she was met with a pair of brown eyes that seemed to be in the process of turning red. Rouge. Before Gabrijela would react, the stranger crashed his mouth onto hers. His free hand that was covering her mouth before, wandered down and under the slit of the dress before he roughly grabbed her butt to pull her closer to him.

Understanding the predicament she was in, Gabrijela bit on his lips. Hard. However it did not seem to bother him. He stopped attacking her lips and smirked at her with an evil, dangerous glint in his eyes.

"Feisty are we?" His hand that was on her waist traveled up to the back of her head as he yanked her hair to the left before attacking the right side of her olive neck while he grind distastefully on her.

The drinks she had really did a number on her. No matter how much she tried to push and struggle out of his grasp, her strength paled tremendously in comparison to his, as he held her in a tight lock. If she had been sober, perhaps she would have the strength to push him off.

Gabrijela was not afraid of death. She had been through death once in her previous life before being given a second chance at life as Gabrijela Kavynier. She was very grateful for that. Through Gabrijela Kavynier, she was able to fulfill her dreams she could not have achieved otherwise, when she was Giselle Kang. Giselle Kang was just your average Singaporean girl, trying to get through University, while dealing with some family drama.

After having lived peacefully as Gabrijela Kavynier for 1 year, the war broke out. Even then she wasn't scared. But this time? What a stupid way to die. She could already see the headlines. 'Dead girl in the alley revealed to be Gabrijela Kavynier, the Multitrillionaire.'

Gabrijela could not bear the thought as her body gave into the darkness that lured her in.
