Chapter 2

August 19th 1986

~First period•PE~

"Hello class i'm Mr.Fitzgerald your PE teacher, today..."
"Hey Tadashi."
"Huh?" Tadashi turned around.
"Oh hey Saiko...uh why are you talking to me?"
"My boyfriend was asking about you, he's been wondering where you've been and since I saw you I thought to tell you." Saiko, one of the most prettiest girls in the school, she's dating the head of the basketball team and she is also a third year. To also top it all off, she's a Kelly.
"Huh? Yeah yeah i've been busy all summer so I wasn't able to hang out at all."
"Ah! That makes sense, well i'll tell him about our conversation!"
"Okay thank you."
"Your welcome! See you around Tadashi!"
"See ya." Tadashi walked over to the bleachers, sat down and played his cassette.

~Tap Tap~
"Eh-"
"Hi I saw you talking to my sister."
"What.."
"Saiko."
"Oh yeah what about her.."
"That's my older sister- were you listening????"
"Yes..?"
"Wow your hopeless, i'm Aki!"
"Hi Aki..so your also a Kelly?"
"Yes! but you've probably never heard of me since it's my first year!"
"Yeah that's so cool.."
"I know, anyway what year are you in?"
"I'm a second year."
"Omg so do you know my brother?!?"
"No?"
"Kei Kelly?"
"I only know one Kei and never got the last name so I don't know."
"Black hair, light blue eyes, short." Are you serious.? This blonde cheerful girl is related to that midnight asshole guy?
"Yep I know him."
"Well I was just wondering since you knew Saiko!"
"I only know Saiko because her boyfriend is the leader of the basketball team so technically one of my friends."
"Oh! I thought you just knew all the Kelly's..Sorry!"
"It's alright.."
"Anyway! I'm going to go talk to Saiko!!!"
"Bye?"
"TOODLES!" Well she seemed sweet-ish? I mean she seems like she might have a bit of an attitude but Saiko has one too if you hang out with her enough.

"Heyy Tada!" One of the guys on the team walked over to Tadashi.
"Oh heyy.." Damnit I thought I was going to be able to avoid them today. Anyway that's Valentino, I don't really know him but we still talk.
"You wanna go play with me and some of the guys?"
"Yeah sure..." Ughhhhh I don't wanna go play basketballlllll.. Tadashi walked down the bleachers towards the basketball hoop. The guys walked over to Tadashi.
"Ayy sup Tadashi where have you been?"
"Oh uh hey Isaiah..." And here's Isaiah he's a third year that I only just met last year, he's kinda dicky, extremely homophobic, but overall chill.
"Tada my man!" Someone jumped onto Tadashi's back.
"Ah-" Yep that's Keith he is a first year but we knew him since his brother plays on the team so he used to play with us after school once in awhile.He has called me Tada Wada since i've met him, he's chill too but is very..uh..how do I put this? Loud and obnoxious? Hyper? I'm not sure but it can get annoying. Very annoying. His brother is the complete opposite though, his name is Stephen he's a third year I had met last year. He's not really outgoing or hyper, more quiet and mysterious...Lots of girls find it attractive.. I-I don't see it-... But it keeps him as one of the popular ones..
"Tada wada! it's been so long!!"
"Can you get off my back Keith.."
"NEVER!" Tadashi took a very loud sigh and threw Keith off of him.
"Keith where is Stephen?"
"He's not in this gym he gets it on B,D,F days since he's a loser!"
"Ah alright.."
"Yo." Tadashi looked over his shoulder to see a unfamiliar face.
"Hi..?"
"Oh Tada Wada! That's my friend Xavier he's been dying to join the team and it is awesome that he's in our gym class! Since he can meet you guys."
"Hm..Cool im Tadashi." Tadashi walked over to the guy with his hand out.
"I'm Xavier."
"Cool."
"Anyway guys! Lets play some ball!!" Valentino said really loud. Sigh I guess a game or two will be fine...Then i'll sneak away. They started after they had figured out the team and after the bell had rung.

~After a game~

Ugh i'm not doing this. Let me just. Tadashi made his way towards the back doors of the gym and snuck out, successfully. Tadashi closed his eyes and took a deep long sigh.
"Huh it smells like.." Tadashi opened his eyes and looked next to him.
"That's why it smells like smoke." It was Kei. Of course it was Kei. Just my luck.
"Do you mind?"
"What do you mean do you mind." Tadashi gave a bit of attitude at the end.
"I mean, could you let me smoke in peace?"
"I will if I can hit that."
"You smoke?"
"Not as often as some of the others but, I still do."
"Yeah I guess.." Kei handed the cigarette to Tadashi.
"How did you even get a hold of these?" Tadashi took a hit.
"I take them from my moms husband, he notices but since i'm not his kid he doesn't say anything."
"Ah makes sense." Tadashi took another hit and handed it back. Tadashi leaned against the wall of the gym and sat down on the floor.
"Weird."
"Huh? What's weird?"
"How you keep talking to me. ME."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean literally all the popular guys hate my guts and usually bully the shit outta me, so it's weird."
"Ohh, yeah the guys are huge dicks like that."
"And you aren't?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean last time I checked you are one of the popular boys, you also never stopped the bullying. You also sometimes PARTICIPATED in the bullying, and your no different? You aren't equally as dicky?"
"Never said I wasn't."
"Pfft sure seems like you were trying to say you weren't."
"The guys are terrifying, if I were to ever stick up for anyone I would be beat the shit out of, and it would be way easier since i'm one of the shorter ones. It's why I never stood up for you and would join in once in awhile." Kei gave Tadashi a dirty side eye.
"So don't think i'm saying im not equally as dicky, I am, and I guess i'm sorry about that." Tadashi looked up at Kei. Kei looked down at Tadashi.

"Apology somewhat accepted."
"Whatttt only somewhat?"
"Yes only SOMEWHAT."
"I guess that's fair.."
"Yeah you better not fucking complain."
"Geez alright.."

"Yknow for a short person you are kinda scary..."
"EXCUSE ME?"
"WHAT?"
"IM NOT THAT FUCKING SHORT!" Kei threw the cigarette on the ground and stopped on it.
"YES YOU ARE! YOU ARE BARELY FIVE FOOT AND YOUR A SECOND YEAR!" Tadashi stood up pretty much towering over Kei.
"I HAVE GROWING PROBLEMS OKAY?"
"GROWI-"
"Kei?" Saiko opened the gyms door."
"Oh- Kei? And Tadashi..? Together..?"
"Hi Saiko!"
"Hey Saiko..."
"Hi Tadashi, hi Kei, yknow you are yelling really loud Kei. Right?"
"Oh I am?"
"Yeah.."
"Sorry I guess."
"Just be more quiet, i'll see you later."
"Later."
"Bye Saiko!" Saiko closed the gym door.
~Ring, Ring~
"That's the bell."
"Yeah.." Tadashi ran back into the gym leaving Kei by himself.

Tadashi grabbed his stuff and left the gym.
