The door shut with a loud thud, making the two individuals in the room cringe. Ellie looked over at the other person in the room clasping her hands together softly, "So," she started, eyeing the person for any reaction. The said person looked over at the young girl, "Is Marlene usually gone for long?" She asked, breaking the awkwardness Marlene left behind. "No, not usually." The person said sitting down on the floor.

Ellie hummed in acknowledgment, walking closer to the window peering out at the scattered city. Sighing the person looked over at the young girl, Marlene asked them to get to know each other. "How'd you and Marlene meet?" They asked abruptly. Ellie whipped toward them and sighed,

"She knew my mom, she's been looking after me."  Ellie said trailing off at the end. They nodded their head and looked off to the side. "How about you?" She asked in return. "Hm?" They said, they hadn't heard what she asked because they were zoned out. "How'd you and Marlene meet?"  They looked up and closed their eyes, leaning against the wall behind them.

"Come on [Y/N]!!" Your friend called out, the clicking noises behind you could only mean one thing. Clickers. Clickers could be tough enemies if you didn't know how to kill them, you can't kill a clicker by just punching it. You need a melee weapon.

Neither of you had a melee weapon on you, so your best option was to sneak past, you two quickly found a table that had been flipped over on its side and hid behind it. "I'm going to try to find a clear path, and when I do I'll come back and get you," you whispered through your gas mask to your friend. They nodded softly and patted your arm twice to signal good luck.

You thought they'd be safe where they were, if they hadn't made any noise, but any slight noise could set a clicker off. [Y/N] made sure to step quietly, making sure not to make too much sound otherwise they'd be dead. As promised they did find a clear path out of this hell scenario. They turned around preparing to go get their friend when a blood curdling scream erupted from the hollowed out subway.

Their heart sank to the floor, they as quickly as they could tried to save their friend from the hoard of clickers but it was far too late. Throwing a rock down the opposite hallway lead the clickers away, but their friend was in too much of a condition to be saved, they wouldn't even be able to become infected. Choking back sobs, [Y:N] quietly exited the subway.

When teaching the grass outside after making sure there was no infected around, they took off their gas mask and sobbed openly. Sinking to their knees. A foreign touched startled them as they stood to their feet quickly, hun pointed at the stranger. The stranger raised their hands in the air in defeat, "I'm not here to hurt you, lower your gun, please." Her voice came out softly.

"How do I know I can fucking trust you?" They spat at her. "If I wanted to hurt you, I wouldn't have made you aware of my presence." The woman retorted. Their hands slowly dropped as their gun lowered.

Heavy weight began to be applied to the door, "Ellie get behind me," They said rising to their feet. Ellie didn't need to be told twice, hiding behind the door, the two watched as it burst open..
