Manny was running through the open fields, chasing the butterflies around him. Robin was setting up the chicken picnic, unfolding the blanket and placing the plates and bowls around. You and Harry were walking through the woods, trying to find where the others had planned the picnic.
You glanced at Harry, and saw that his expression had changed from his normal, almost bored look. He seemed nervous. You started to wonder if you were maybe doing something wrong, overthinking what was going on.
"Are you alright?" you asked, scared as to what he would say. "N-Nothing," he replied. He was trying to avoid your gaze, but you wanted your friend to be happy. So, you stood in front of him and looked him dead in the eyes.
"Come on, you can tell me if there's something wrong." Harry looked at you, blushing. "There's nothing wrong," he said, "I'm just a bit nervous." He smiled at you and kept walking, leaving you to wonder why your new red friend was so nervous.
You found Manny and Robin about to start eating the picnic. You sat down with Harry and hungrily ate the food displayed around you. When you all were finished, you packed up the picnic and walked around the plains, chasing butterflies and laughing in the sun.
You lay down in the grass, the clouds moving slowly and sun shining brightly. You closed your eyes and sighed, a wave of relief washing over your body. Then, you felt a tap on your shoulder. When you looked up, you could see Harry standing over you. "Can I talk to you really quickly?"
Harry leaded you into the woods. He was panicking, trying to figure out what to say. He stopped and turned to you, taking a deep breath. "Y/N," he started. "I need to tell you something ." You could feel your heart in your throat. Everything went numb and you couldn't focus on anything but Harry's voice.
"I know that we haven't known each other for long, but I've started to get feelings for you." You blushed, your heart racing and a smile plastered to your face. "I've liked for as long as I've known you," you told him, "I'm so happy!" Harry wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into his embrace.
The hug felt warm and nice, it felt right. You hugged him back and giggled. Harry pulled away and looked into your eyes. "I was thinking maybe we could go out sometime soon.." "It's a date."
