It wasn't often that you reverted back into your fox form, but you enjoyed it when you did. That's what you were doing now, the window was open so you basked in the sun on your bed. Luckily your room was on the second story, so there wasn't a threat of anyone besides your mother seeing you.

Your relaxing was interrupted by your mom walking into your room without knocking. "I really thought you'd be dressed by now, Y/N." You tilted your head at her, still unable to speak in fox form due to your young age.

"Don't give me that look," she scolded, "you're the one who asked to meet with your dad today."

After hearing that a sudden realisation dawned on you and you jumped off the bed. You transformed into a half human, fox ears still visible as you rummaged through your closet for appropriate outside wear. Your mother only giggled at your distress.

...

After finding the right clothes you rushed out of the house, not wanting to keep your father waiting. Your parents divorce [break-up because they were never legally married] hadn't actually been that bad. They still speak on occasion and you tried to meet up with him in person whenever you could.

Right now you were meeting with him for ramen in Buraza town. When you stopped to take a look around you spotted him waiting by the ramen stand. He was wearing two out of the three pieces of his suit, dress shirt rolled up to show off his full sleeve tattoos and sunglasses covering his eyes. "Y/N." He called out when he saw you, trying his best to keep his voice level, but his happiness still shone through.

You both sat down at the booth and ordered your food and started talking. "It's really great to talk in person instead of texts." You said, unfortunately a certain goth and athletic blond both took this the wrong way while eavesdropping.

"Yes, it is." A ghost of a smile danced on his lips, "Your mother, is she well?"

"Oh, yeah. She's doing good. There's this one teacher at school that reminds me of her." His raised eyebrow was the only indication of emotion on his face.

"Speaking of school, how is that friend you mentioned?" He asked. Your food arrived before you could answer. Before digging in you answered, "The pin did the trick."

You continued to talk about your lives in between eating the ramen, you'd told him about your friends and he'd spoke vaguely about his work. "I need to buy some things in the convenience store, you should wait here."

You knew what your father did, the less you knew the better so you did just that, and waited outside the store. Unexpectedly, both Oko and Aso approached you. "Hi, Rito-san. Hey, spiderling. Didn't think I'd see you two here." Aso stayed silent and looked uncomfortable, only giving you a kurt wave. "T-that m-man ... you were with..." Oko said, looking at you concerned.

"Yeah, what about him?" You asked, tilting your head to the side.

"Are you being threatened? Do you feel unsafe?" Aso blurted out, staring at you with wide eyes.

Without thinking, you burst out laughing. They both looked at you confused, before their expressions shifted to one of fear upon seeing the man walk out of the store. Your dad walked up to your little group, shopping bag in hand. "Hey dad," you said as the two boys were hit with a sudden wave of embarrassment and shame, "this is the friend I was telling you about." You motioned for Oko to introduce himself.

"I-it's n-nice to m-meet you, L/N-san." He kept his gaze to the floor.

"Look me in the eyes when you speak, boy, and my name is Kasai." He said, voice holding concealed anger.

"Dad!" you said angrily, "He's shy, give him a break." He let out a humm of agreement before turning his attention to Aso. "And what about this one?"

"This is Rito Aso, he's actually the president of the sport's club." He let out an approving huff accompanied by a curt nod.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, sir," he said, extending a tan hand - which your father gripped tightly, "I can see where L/N-san gets her good looks from, haha." Your father's hand tightened even more and you had to step in to prevent Aso's hand from being broken.

Soon after, you bid them both goodbye.

"Your friends are," he paused, "alright." You let out a closed mouth laugh before a bakery caught your attention. "Can we go in there?" You said, pointing to it. He nodded and you entered the establishment.

Almost instantly, the other patrons turned their attention toward your father. You noticed the familiar face of the brunette behind the counter. "Amao-san, hey." You said as you approached, closely followed by your father.

"Oh, hello. So nice to see you." He greeted nervously.

"This is my dad, Kasai Takeshi." You introduced him, he gave a small nod toward the boy.

"Nice to meet you, is there anything you'd like to order?"

You turned to your father and asked him if he wanted anything, after he said no, you ordered a chocolate croissant for yourself.

After getting your order you and your father started to walk to your house. He noticed how dark it was getting and wanted to make sure you got home safe. On your way home, you bumped into a familiar blonde delinquent, almost making you drop your croissant.

"Hey!" He called out angrily, before realising it was you. Your father immediately walked up to him, ready to fight. Thinking on your feet you grabbed Osoro's hand and introduced him, "Dad, this is Osoro. He walks me home from school." This seemed to calm your father down as he unclenched his fist and his jaw. The two stared at each other before Osoro caved. "Sorry." He mumbled, before walking away.

When the two of you were near your house he suddenly spoke up, "I think you need better taste in men."

...

"Did you tell him about your boyfriends?" Your mother asked enthusiastically.

"Mom!"

A/N: I know this chapter is a bit weird but I do want to clarify, Y/N's dad is not the same Yakuza from the 1980's Mod

A/N: I know this chapter is a bit weird but I do want to clarify, Y/N's dad is not the same Yakuza from the 1980's Mod. I actually thought of that before I found out about the yakuza lol.
