On Monday everyone seemed to be treating you differently. Some of them, like Aso and Oko, came right out and said it was because your dad scared them. Amao and Osoro seemed to be treating you the most normally. Though Amao seemed more cautious than before.

You knew something like this was meant to happen, you knew what you were doing when you showed off that pin in front of the phone addicts. Doesn't mean it didn't hurt.

Amao and Aso had told you that they were both going to be busy during lunch, so today you were just going to eat lunch in your classroom. Osoro turned his chair around to face your desk, Oko had turned in his seat and the three of you were having a pleasant conversation.

Kizano bursted into the class, silencing all of you. "Are the rumours true, L/N-san?" Osoro had a scowl on his face while Oko looked a little disappointed. "What rumours? " You were also starting to get irritated. "Well there are so many now," it was like he was purposefully trying to annoy you, "some people say that they saw you on a date with a yakuza boss."

"Alright, dipshit, listen here-" Osoro jumped out his seat and got in Kizano's face.

"I was simply asking a question," he wasn't helping his case at all, "honestly I expected you to have better friends than these brutes." Osoro lifted his fist and would have punched Kizano square in the face if you hadn't stepped in.

You placed a hand on Osoro's bicep and turned to Kizano, "Firstly, who I'm friends with is none of your business," unbeknownst to you, a pink hue was spreading across Osoro and Oko's cheeks,"Secondly, I'm single."

"Well then who was-"

You cut him off, "My Dad."

There was a long pause of silence between all of you. The silence was interrupted by the bell, quickly followed by your teacher walking in.

Luck was not on your side today as you were immediately assigned a group project. The only upside was that you were able to choose your partners. You choose Osoro, Amao, Oko and Aso. Kizano wanted to join but the maximum number per group was five.

You were given time to work on it in class and all agreed to meet up at your house on Friday, as it was the biggest.

The week went by faster than you had expected it to and soon you were walking home with your group of friends (you'd playfully refer to them as your bodyguards).

"So are your parents home?" Aso asked, trying to make small talk.

"My Stepdad is at work, my mom probably started dinner already," you said absentmindedly, "she could be shopping for ingredients though."

It wasn't long before you reached your house.

"Mom, I'm home~" You called out before removing your shoes. The boys did so too, though you had to remind Osoro.

Your mother came rushing into sight, knife in hand and blood smeared across her apron. All of the boys took a step back, even Osoro looked terrified.

"Oh, Y/N. You should have told me we would have guests over." She scolded lightly. "Would you like snacks?" She asked, ignoring the blood.

Oko was the first to speak up,"Um, Arita-sama...are y-you ... injured?"

"No, no, I was just carving up the pig for dinner." She said, you hoped she wasn't talking about your stepdad.

You silently walked toward the living room and put your books down. Soon the others also entered the room and you all got to work.

Once you guys were about halfway through the work your mother came in with a tray of snacks and cups of water. "Thank you, Mama."

The boys quickly thanked your mother as well.

You finished the project sooner than expected, so you all just sat around and talked for a while.

...

"Bye~ See you Monday!" You called out as they left your house. You looked back to see your mom with a soft smile on her face. "I'm so happy to see you made some friends."

You smiled at her in response.

"Are you dating any of them?"

"Mama!"
