~3rd persons POV~
Marcus did it.
He finally understood why everyone looked so familiar to him.
After he pulled Valentina away from the boys Who looked familiar and took her to her last two classes, it was during his 5th hour when he actually used his brain to understand why this place seemed so familiar to him.
then it clicked.
Yes, it took him 2 days to figure it out but could you blame him?
But once he did understand where they were he was smiling from ear to ear and couldn't sit still.
Valentina, who was sitting to his left, looked at him strangely, seeing his legs bouncing up and down smiling at nothing. Her eyebrows furrowed at him as she pondered whether she should be concerned about her own safety or his.
She poked his shoulder with her pencil and once he looked over at her made a gesture to ask what was wrong.
So he told her.
"I think I know where we are!" Marcus said happily.
Valentina's eyes widened and a small smile stretched across her face, She was proud Marcus found something out so they could figure out a way to get home. It wasn't like the place was bad, In fact, it was probably better than their actual home but Valentina liked to know her surroundings and didn't like being paranoid.
"Ok so tell me," Valentina said looking at Marcus.
"Remember the movie we were watching before we came here?" He asked turning to face her.
Valentina didn't answer feeling guilty for not paying much attention to the movie.
"why?" She questioned still not understanding what Marcus was saying.
"where in the movie!" Marcus exclaimed excitedly.
Valentina went wide-eyed but then furrowed her brows, It didn't make sense to her, she did remember some parts of the movie, Arent most of the boys who talked to her supposed to be dead? But on the other hand, The power was acting up and The DVD player did shock Marcus, The TV kept glitching out as well throughout the movie, and what that lady told her in the store when they got the movie so if you put it together it did add up.
And...Well, they did get sucked into the TV.
She looked at Marcus with a small smile seeing him bouncing in excitement she knew he loved the movie even after watching it once, She didn't want to bring down his mood by saying that she barely watched it or that most of the boys were supposed to be dead, All she wanted to do was go back to their temporary apartment and go to sleep.
She just nodded her head agreeing with what Marcus said.
"Now all we have to do is find a way back home." She told him looking back to the front of the class.
Marcus frowned, He wanted to stay for a while and look around.
I mean he IS in a movie might as well make the most of it right? All he had to do was convince Valentina.
and so he did which was easy because he's Marcus how could you not be convinced?
He turned to Valentina
"Can we please stay for a while?" Marcus wined poking valentina's side with his pencil.
"no," Valentina said flatly looking at him with a deadpan expression.
"what about those boys and the soulmate thingy don't you wanna know what that's all about?!" Marcus asked shaking valentina's shoulders back and forth.
Valentina hesitated for a second, she knew what a soulmate was courtesy of google but she didn't understand why she had one, she didn't feel a pull at home, maybe this was what that creepy lady was talking about.
