~3rd persons POV~
Valentina woke up to the sound of kids playing and birds chirping, she slowly stretched, looking around the apartment roof she and Marcus were sleeping on, finally getting up and walking over to Marcus who was asleep on the other side of her a ways away.
She was still so confused about what happened yesterday why did her chest hurt when she felt fine? Why did it leave just as it came? She still didn't understand what it was.
She walked over to Marcus and shook his shoulder.
"Эй, проснись, нам еще нужно выяснить, где мы находимся."(Hey, wake up, we still need to figure out where we are.) she wisperd.
Marcus groaned as he sat up, rubbing his eyes. He sat up and looked at Valentina before speaking.
" you know since it's 1978 do you think they like Russians?" he questioned then gasped "DO YOU THINK THEY'LL SEND YOU AWAY!?" he yelled panicking.
Valentina looked at Marcus with a deadpan expression then whacked him in the back of his head
"If I had a dollar for every smart thing you say. I'll be poor," she said rolling her eyes "And that ended in 1945 идиот" (Moron) and with that she started climbing down the apartment's outdoor stairs to the ground, Marcus following shortly after.
It's been about two weeks since the boys escaped the grabber and a week since they went back to school. Finney woke up as his alarm rang making him groan as he sat up rubbing his eyes.
He looked at the clock that read 6:00 am and got out of bed to get ready for school, after he was dressed he heard his sister Gwen yell for him so he grabbed his backpack and ran down the stairs and out the door with his little sister running behind him.
As he and Gwen got to school Gwen went to her friends and Finney met up with Robin, Bruce, and Vance. they wanted to talk about what happened a day ago when they finally felt their last soulmate near them or in town.
They made their way inside ignoring the stares they were getting. Ever since the incident, the kids at their school wouldn't leave them alone and they were getting annoyed, Making their way through the crowd of students to find somewhere they can talk alone they eventually manage to find an empty classroom. Robin shut the door behind them, checking that nobody followed them in before turning to face the boys with a happy expression.
"So are we gonna talk about what happened yesterday night?" Finney asked.
"They're finally here!"Bruce exclaimed excitedly. "We finally get to feel complete!" His joy was noticeable. He and the boys had waited so long for this moment, and it was finally here.
"We know, we just need to find them," Vance said calmly as the boys looked at each other.
"But where would they be?" Robin asked.
"That's what we need to find out," Finney said as the bell rang, they opened the door and made their way to their first class thinking of where their last soulmate could be.
Valentina and Marcus walked through the quiet town looking for anything familiar to them. Marcus felt a sudden wave of homesickness as he looked around. He had never been good with change, and this whole situation was definitely a change. Valentina, on the other hand, didn't care about the entire thing, Though she was worried for Marcus even though both her parents were shitty Marcus still had his mother. She lived in Florida so he never got to see her but he still loved her.
