ALL RHE LOVE BETWEEN THE COUSINS R PLATONIC
THIS IDEA WAS SUGGESTED BY @Totally_Not_Juno TY FOR SUGGESTING THIS IDEA
this contains slight Yasu x Leon and obviously Juno x Saeri 😋
In this au saeri never dies, yasu +his parents dont get involved in the masashige issue with sama and junos the mc for both witch trials & book 1

It had been 2 years, more even since Juno went missing. Yasu, her cousin had received a call while his parents were out, his cousins girlfriend Saeri was home with Yasu. He fell to the ground, sobbing when hearing the tragic news of his dearest cousin going missing.

Saeri saw what happened to Yasu and rushed over, trying to console him, it worked for a while but he ended up crying again soon later on. His parents Daku and Keiko Masashige soon came home and rushed over to their son & Saeri. They were worried and questioned what happened, Saeri shrugged as Yasu quietly muttered that Juno went missing. Keiko hugged her son as Daku rubbed his back while Saeri sat there in silence, trying to process what Yasu had said.

The young lady pat Yasu before heading upstairs into her girlfriends room and locking the door as she cried.

She cried even more than the day she left Juno at their boarding school, and it being a pure coincidence the two had finally gotten reunited but now it had been for nothing. She went into Juno's closet and took out one of her jackets, putting it on as a way of comfort, as if Juno was there with her, she went to lay down on the bed as she cried and scrolled on her phone admiring the photos of her and her girlfriend. She loved Juno more than anything, Juno felt the same way back, although, Juno probably loved Yasu more but still.

The longer Juno was gone, Saeri and Yasu got closer as friends, they hung out more, it was what Juno would've wanted for them. She helped him in his studies when his parents were out. He was usually good at his work so she didn't need to help too much. He made friends and she saw it happen, they'd come over almost every other weekend or so. One of them would come over more frequently though, Yasu's friend Leon.

Saeri noticed the two were more close than Yasu was compared to his other 5 friends.

As the years went on, the more they adapted to being without Juno, it pained both of them so much, along with Daku and Keiko, they saw Juno as a daughter to them, she felt the same way back but never expressed it.

They always wondered what Juno would be doing right now, whether she's okay or not, whether she's even alive. At 2 years of her being gone, the officers decided to close the case, it hurt the 4 a lot. They were going to close it earlier but they all insisted she was out there, somewhere. They just needed to search harder. Yasu one day had lit a lantern for his cousin by a river, hoping her the best and leaving it. They knew she was out there, she couldn't be gone, not Juno, not ever. She'd be back soon, she had to come back soon.

The lady slashed the blessed blade into the dark hearts, she had already attacked 2 of them already, finally on her 3rd one. As she finished slashing the final heart she wiped her face with her sleeve before hearing a dreadful scream and being consumed by what was below her.

She was face to face with Control, Kintoru, Sama, she goes by many names.

She held onto the blade tightly as she glared at the monster. It screamed once again and she approached it, swinging the blessed blade given to her by her great grandfather. She had to do this, she had to win this. For Yasu, for her aunt and uncle, for Saeri, she needed to see them again, she needed to free her ancestors from Kintoru's curse. It had felt like hours, even but finally, she did it, with her final slash the creature fell to the ground with a scream before muttering something.

"Either you kill me or you can save your dearest uncle, auntie and cousin." Juno stood there in silence, conflicted between the options before shaking her head, remembering what her great grandfather had told her. "She lies and deceives you, she'll say stuff to get to you." She stabbed the witch and it was over. Hands came at her taking her away. The woman's vision went fuzzy as she fell down and passed out. Waking up at where it all started at. The forest, where she hiked, when she left and told her cousin goodbye, she never suspected that it'd have been for 2 years, more than that even.

It was a Sunday afternoon, Yasu was making some spicy noodles as a snack while the old couple were out together.

Saeri was in her girlfriends room, if she could still even call Juno her girlfriend. She had missed her more than anything, she'd give so much for Juno to just ring the doorbell, and walk through those doors. If that were the case Saeri thought on running down and giving her the biggest hug and tons of kisses.

Sadly, it wasn't the case, the girl sighed and rolled back into the bed hugging a spare pillow while going under the covers. She went onto her phone, looking at photos of her dearest girlfriend. Her eyes turned glossy as she looked through the photos, her gallery photos almost the same as they were before the disappearance of her girlfriend. She turned off her phone then placed it on the dressing table, closing her eyes before hearing ding dong.

She got up and sat on the bed for a few minutes, Yasu who was downstairs went to the door with his cup of ramen, opening it. He dropped his plate as tears formed in his eyes. "J-Juno?" He muttered. Juno gave a small smile and hugged him, "Hello, cousin," the boy sobbed and hugged her tightly, "I missed you so much, where were you??" Juno rubbed his back and shrugged "I don't really know.." she said. Yasu shook his head and welcomed her inside, directing her towards the couch. "Are you hungry do you want anything to eat??" He questioned.

Juno shook her head, her cousin always looked after her, she found it sweet. "I'll be right back, ma needs me to bring father's medicines," he said. Juno made a noise in acknowledgment as her cousin left, she admired the house, it looked almost the same as it was before. It felt nice, a sense of home. She heard someone walk down the stairs, a familiar humming. The lady walked into the kitchen, collecting some sort of snack for herself to eat.

She realized who it was, the sweet girl who she loved with all her heart, who she almost loved as much as she did for her dearest cousin. Her lovely girlfriend.

She quietly got up and ran over, hugging the girl and picking her up, the younger shrieked as she turned around and dropped her snack. Looking Juno in her eyes. "J-Juju?" She said as a tear rolled down her cheek.

"The one and only, princess Saeri." She said with a smile before kissing the girl. She caressed Saeri's cheek carrying her over to the couch where they continued kissing. The two finally pulled away and hugged "Y-You were gone for so l-long I thought I lost you I," Juno hushed the girl, "I'm really sorry I was gone, truly I am. I love you so much and would never leave you, you'll never lose me okay?" She said. Saeri blushed a rosie color and smiled at her words, laying her head on her shoulder. "I l-love you so much, never do that again," she muttered. Juno nodded, kissing her head and rocking her back and forth, "My lovely princess Saeri."

They smiled at each other and laid down on the couch together, hugging each other tightly.

The girls kissed each other again and brought their foreheads together. "I missed doing this so much," Juno said quietly, Saeri giggled at her words and nodded, "I did too, thank you for coming back, love." Juno smiled "I'll always come back for you, I'm your knight in shining armor, I'll be here to protect you, forever."
