"I've heard the express is available for you, Percy!"

"Just be sure to avoid going down the wrong path!"

"Quiet!" Percy snapped.

Percy had been getting nothing but grief from the other engines. Ever since his incidents with the express and the viaduct, he had become laughingstock on the railway. Though, Percy is also aware that not all of the engines are giving him grief, as some have often comforted him about his incidents, including his own siblings. Edward was also among those engines, but with Edward, along with a broken-minded Gordon, gone from the railway, it seemed to the engines that Sodor has "lost its wisdom". Because of this, whenever Percy was given grief, he would often vent his frustrations on the troublesome freight carts, who also gave him as much grief as the engines. They would often sing songs like...

🎵Poor, poor Percy can't catch breaks!🎵

🎵Since he makes one too many mistakes!🎵

🎵He tried to be Gordon, he tried to go far!🎵

🎵But those came back to biff him hard!🎵

This only made Percy even more frustrated. Soon, this became a concern for Mr. Starr, as Percy's crew and siblings decided to discuss the issue with him.

"It's like he's getting the same treatment that he gave to Thomas when it came to that silly ghost incident," Liz explained. "But he seems to getting it worst."

"I see," said Mr. Starr. "We'll see if anything improves over time. I can't decide on anything just yet."

In hindsight, he should've at least decided on something.

Back then, Percy often teased Thomas for two similar events that occurred. One time, he play "ghostly trick" on Thomas, which was then answered by Percy being ridiculed after Thomas inadvertently scared him with a Chinese paper dragon. He then got scared by another ghostly trick made by Thomas and his crew, which ended up being all too real.* Aside from his ghostly trick, Percy and Duck also teased Thomas for foolishly being stuck in a deep hole at the abandoned lead mines after going pass a board that clearly stated that engines should not pass it. Thomas then came up with a similar trick on Duck, but like the last one, it also became real, albeit much more worse, as Duck had been traumatized since.**

Nowadays, it seems that the roles have been reverse, albeit worse for the wear.

One night, Thomas and Percy were sleeping alone in the Ffarquhar sheds, when Thomas decided to bring up something. Percy already knew it was about one of his recent incidents.

"You know, Percy," said Thomas. "With Gordon gone, you could actually pull the express."

"If Vincent will give it up," added Percy. "So, I don't see the need to pull the express anymore."

"Okay then," said Thomas. "Perhaps, you should take Henry's Flying Kipper instead."

"And be around those smelly fish?" Percy asked. "Why?"
