CHAPTER TWO

Callie felt worse when Embry stopped talking to her. He cut his hair, got a tattoo, and joined Sam Uley's little gang. And Jacob didn't answer her phone, his father Billy told her to stop calling because Jacob was sick so she stoped, but she wanted to know if he was doing better.

So she and Bella wanted to check up on Jacob so Bella drove them over to Jacob's house and then they knocked on the doors. Billy Black, Jacob's father, opened the doors. , Bella, Callie?" Billy asked. , We need to see him" Bella said to him and Callie stood next to her. , He's not in" Billy lied to them. , I'm sorry, we really need to see him" Bella said, grabbing Callie by her wrist and dragging her into the house. , Bella! Callie!" Billy said to them, but they had already gone into Jacob's room, only to see him sleeping. Bella looked out of the window and saw Sam with Paul, Jared, and Embry. , Bella, no" Callie warned her, but Bella stormed out of the house and Callie run after her. , Bella!" Callie called after her. She didn't want to see Embry, at least not yet. 

, What did you do? What did you do?" Bella asked Sam and pushed him. , Bella!" Callie warned her. , Easy" Sam said to Paul and Jared. , He didn't want this" Bella said to Sam. Callie looked at Embry, making eye contact with him, it was like the time around them stoped, but after a few seconds, she looked away. , What did we do? What did he do? What'd he tell you?" Paul asked Bella, trying to control his anger. , Bella, stop!" Callie warned her again, she knew that Paul had very bad anger issues. , Both of you calm down" Sam said to Bella and Paul. , He tells me nothing because he's scared of you" Bella said to him, and that made Paul and Jared laugh, and then Bella slapped Paul. And everything happened so quickly.

, Too late now" Jared said, knowing that Paul will not calm down. , Bella, Callie. Get back!" Sam told Bella and Callie, and Bella started slowly to back up, taking Callie by her wrist to take her with her. , Paul? Calm down, now!" Sam said to Paul. But Paul shifted into a wolf. , I fucking knew something was off with these fuckers" Callie mumbled to herself. Bella turned around, still holding Callie's wrist, and started to run away. , Bella, Calli!" Jacob said, jumping over the railing, and running towards them. , Run! Jake, run!" Bella shouted at him, not knowing he was a shapeshifter too. But Callie just knew that he was because he was running towards them and then he jumped shifting into a wolf too. Bella fell to the ground, taking Callie with her. , First vampires and now this?! Are you kidding me, Bella? What's gonna be next? Fucking fairies?" Callie shouted, she was scared, but this was her mechanism. And well, the shapeshifters heard her, so that made Jared and Embry snort, and Sam was trying to calm Paul. Jacob and Paul became fighting. Callie has seen a vampire fight, but this was better. , Hey! take Bella and Callie back to Emily's place" Sam said to Embry and Jared and run after Jacob and Paul. , Guess the wolf's out of the bag" Embry joked while walking towards the two girls with Jared. Embry helped Callie to stand up and he was looking into her eyes the whole time. He knew he imprinted on her earlier, and he was scared to tell her, but knowing himself he will tell her.

They stopped in front of a house. , I think we should go back and see if Jacob's okay" Bella said. , I hope Paul sinks some teeth in him. Serves him right" Jared said. , No way. Jacob's a natural. You see him phase on the fly? I got 5$ says Paul doesn't touch him."

, Come in, Bella, Callie! We don't bite" Embry then turned his attention to the two girls. Callie liked the way he said her name, it sounded different but same at the same time. , Speak for your self" Jared said to Embry and walked into the house. Both girls got out of the car. , Hey, about Emily, Sam's fiancee? Don't stare. It bugs Sam" Embry said, while looking at Callie, and seeing her blush made him smirk. , Why would I stare?" Bella asked him, but he didn't respond since he walked into the house. 

, Are you guys hungry? Like I have to ask" Emily chuckled. Bella and Callie walked into the house and Emily turned to them. , Who's this?" Emily asked with a small smile. , Bella Swan and Callie Estelle. Who else?" Jared said to Emily. , So, you're the vampire girl?" Emily asked Bella. , So you're the wolf girl?" Bella asked her back. , Guess so, well... I'm engaged to one" Emily said, placing a tray full of muffins on a table and Jared wanted to grab one. But Emily stopped him. , Save some for you brothers. And ladies first. Muffin?" Emily said. , Sure. Thanks" Bella said taking one muffin. , Thanks, but I'm not hungry" Callie said to Emily and smiled. , Leave it to Jacob to find a way around Sam's gag order" Emily said. , He didn't say anything to us" Bella said. , That's a wolf thing. Alpha's orders get obeyed whether we want 'em or not. And check it out. We can hear each other's thoughts" Embry said, while he was staring on Callie and eating his muffin. , Would you shut up? These are trade secrets. Damn it! These chicks run with vampires" Jared said, making Callie smile a little. , You can't really run with vampires. 'Couse they're fast" Bella said. , Yeah? Well we're faster. Freaked out yet?" Jared asked the two girls. , You're not the first monsters I ever met" Bella said. , Well, then you need to see my father next. He is a monster. A big one" Callie snorted, and Bella looked at her and rolled her eyes. , Jake's right. You're good with weird" Sam said to Bella and walked to Emily, giving her kiss on her lips and then her scar.

Then Jacob and Paul came back. Paul sat on a chair next to Embry and looked at the two girls. , Sorry" Paul said with smirk. Bella looked at Jacob, and they walked out. , Is she kidding me right now?" Callie said, not believing her eyes. She just left her in the house with the shapeshifters and Emily. , You can stay here for a little while if you want" Emily smiled at Callie. Emily liked the girl already. , Really? That's cool, thanks" Callie smiled at her, but she was still standing on her spot. , Come on and sit" Embry said to her. He stood up, grabbed a chair and put it next to his chair. , Okay, sure" Callie nodded and sit on the chair.  , Are you sure youo're not hungry?" Emily asked her. , Yeah, I'm sure. I will eat when I will get home" Callie said and smiled. She lied, she will not eat. Her father was home and drunk, so she wanted to be in her room.
