Even after about an hour and a half, he was still shaking. Lucas called his friends to see if they were alright, making sure it was just a dream. They assured him they were fine and offered to go to the local cafe with him in the morning. He agreed, but only to make sure they were fine.
In the morning he got up and got ready very quickly. He waited outside for his friends to get there. A couple minutes later, they arrived. He got in the car and examined his friends to see if anything in his dream was true, but he couldn't see anything that was suspicious on their bodies. He was anxious for the ride, James and Kaden looked worryingly at each other. They've never seen him like this. He was tense, but loosened up a little at the cafe. They had a couple drinks and James asked Lucas why he was so nervous.
"I just had a bad dream, but it was nothing." Lucas replied trying to smile. Lucas tried to make it seem like it was nothing, but Lucas has always been a terrible liar. James didn't believe it was nothing. He's never seen Lucas look so scared.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" James asked. Lucas looked at him with a nervous expression but shook his head no.
"Anyway, sorry I made you guys worry." Lucas apologized. They felt a little uneasy but tried to say it was alright. Ater that, silence tookover the room.
"Hey James, can you help me get snacks?" Kaden said, finally breaking the silence. Kaden put on a smile, trying not to worry Lucas. "I'm sure Lucas can find us something to watch on the T.V." Kaden tossed the remote to Lucas.
"Sure?" James was confused but went with it. They walk into another Kitchen to speak. "So, what snacks do we need?" James asked.
"Somethings wrong with Lucas and I know you know it too." Kaden said, clearly worried. James sighed.
"I know, but how do we help him? He'll be suspecting something if we start asking random questions again." James replied. He crossed his arms trying to think of something.
"Well, we can ask his dad? He said that he called him this morning." Kaden suggested. James gave Kaden an uneasy look but it was worth a shot. James nodded. When they headed back, Lucas was still looking for something to watch. "Hey, we ran out of snacks. Let's head to your parents to get some." Kaden took Lucas to the car while James called Lucas' dad to inform him about James and Kaden's plan.(Part 3 will be posted next! Thanks for reading!)
