Once they arrived, Lucas' dad greeted them. "Hey guys!" Lucas' dad smiled.
"Hey Sam." Both James and Kaden replied.
"Hey dad." Lucas hugged his father
"Oh, your mother needs your help. She's baking something, so I told her you'd help." His father hugged Lucas back as he spoke.
"Alright, I'll go check it out" Lucas answered. He walked away to go help his mother. His mother greeted him inside and they continued baking what his Mother started.
(Now writing about Lucas and his nightmare with Kaden, James, and Sam.)
Kaden and James both explained to Sam about Lucas and his bad dream. Sam shook his head. "Unbelievable. Poor boy, I can't even imagine what he's feeling right now." He crossed his arms and looked towards the house.
"He was frantic. He called us both right after. He could barely get a word out without struggling!" James said as he pulled out his phone to prove the calls. "We were wondering if he had nightmares like this before and how to help."
"He's had a few like this, he never really talked about them though. He just said he had a bad dream about someone. We never really knew how to help. We tried therapy but it didn't work. I guess just being close to him is the best option. Comferting him will help the most from my experience."After Sam finished speaking, Lucas popped his head out the door
"Hey guys, Ma said to come inside. We finished baking." Lucas said. James grabbed Kaden's hand and draged him inside.
"Yay! Y'all are done!" James ran to the dinning room with Kaden and Sam followed. As they walked in, the smell of brownies filled their noses.
"Whoa, smells good!" Kaden smelt the air and sat down.
James cut everyone a piece of brownies and got everyone a cup of milk. They all said thanks as they sat down. As they were eating, it was plain silence.
"So, what's up?" James said, breaking the awkward silence. He tried smiling but he had stuffed his face in brownies so it was kinda hard. Kaden shook his head.
"How are you so messy?" Kaden stood up, going to get James napkins. Right then, Lucas' mom smiled at Lucas. Lucas understood and chuckled. Sam understood a couple minutes later.
"Ooooh!" He came to realize. James sat there confused.
"What?" James asked. When he asked Kaden finally came back into the room.
"What'd I miss?" Kaden questioned. Then he realized Lucas' mom was smiling. "Oh no, what happened?" Kaden was a little cautious. James was still confused
"I'm confused?" James said, grabbing the napkins from Kaden. Lucas shot a look at Kaden, then back at James.
"W-what!?" Kaden's face flushed red.
James got done wiping his mouth."What is it" James asked but no one answered. "I will make myself cry, what is it!?" James said.
"It's nothing!" Kaden quickly replied. Lucas and his mom started dying of laughter.
"Whyyyyyyyy?" James started to curl up into a ball in his seat.
"So it's settled" Lucas chuckled
"What is?" James was so confused. Kaden shook his head.
"Sure, I'll go and get the boy's stuff, they can stay here." Lucas said getting his car keys. James was about to say something but Lucas had already left.
"So, what are we going to do?" James said, standing up. Kaden's face lit up.
"Let's play Uno." Kaden suggested. He went and found the Uno cards and they all played for awhile. After a couple of the first rounds, Lucas got back.
James stood up and walked over to Lucas to help. "Got everything?" he greeted.
"I believe so." Lucas tried smiling. It wasn't so easy, but he managed. James smiled back, but he was still worrying about his friend. "Anyway, I hope you and Kaden weren't a big problem." Lucas gave Kaden a smerk. He blushed and shook his head.
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Clearing his throat, Kaden looks away trying to hide his blushing. Lucas laughs. James peeks through the doorway and smiles when he sees Lucas is back.
"Hey! Me and Kaden are playing Uno, wanna join?" James smiled and Lucas agreed. They played for a couple more hours and soon dinner was done. They all ate and went to go to their rooms.
"Since there are only two guest rooms and 3 of us, why don't you share one with Kaden?" Lucas offered. "I don't feel like sharing a room."
Not understanding what he meant by that, James replied"Sure!" Kaden wanted to say no but James wanted to so Kaden sighed and agreed. They went to bed and Lucas did the same
