Chapter 4: the kids from next door

I would follow my brother wheeling in the rest of the shipment I would look at him as he looked out the front windows a bit dumb founded seeing the kids from next door Christy and Timmy phimple I let out a soft sigh knowing Christy as one of the popular girls as they approach our store she opened the door and her little brother enter

"I wanted to go to toy world" he complained

"Oh well life's full of disappointments go look around" she replied

She approached the counter were my brother was at

"His birthday is next week my mom wanted to out shopping" she said to him

"Oh great what kind of stuff is he into?" He asked

"Oh dinosaur mutant freaks anything that maims kills or destroys" she replied

"Great we just got in some" he started

"Oh you are Alan and amber Abernathy you two moved into the house behind mine" She said cutting him off as she walked a bit away from the counter

"I heard about you two" she said

"You have?" He asked a bit nervous as he had a little bit of a crush on her

"Yeah so how come we see you after school?" She asked

"Oh we're stuck here most of the time" he replied

"What kind of toy store is this? "she asked

"It's our dad's" I chimed in

"Yeah but he thinks these toys are cool to bad no one else does" he replied

I just watched as the two talked on a bit until something felt off. I looked around wondering where her little brother went?

"I know what I want I know what he want" he said running out of the storage room

"Damn it I should have closed the door" I thought

"I want the soldier, I want the soldier they're walking and fighting and they are so cool!" The kid chanted as he headed to the storage room as my brother and Christy followed him to see what he was on about

I let out a sigh as I followed too as I see Christy pick up one of the commandos from the cardboard boxes

" How about this one?" She said

"No I want this one major chip hazard he's the one" he replied

"How much are these?" She asked my brother, he leaned in and told her. Her face was surprised by how much it was

"There is no way mom and dad are buying you these things" she said

"Yes they will they always buy you those stupid Gwendy dolls" he replied

"Alright Timmy" she said grabbing his arm and started to walk out of the storage room

"Save me one of the buff guys" she said

"And a monster too" he said

"I don't think so you little brat" he said

As Alan followed them I just stayed in the storage room for a bit before going back seeing alan in the store room standing seeing Christy's boyfriend brad he sighed and walked to the storage room and followed finding him holding the two missing figures

"How did they get down there?" He asked and looked at me

"Did you hide them?" He asked

"No they were on the table when I was still here" I replied

"Strange " he replied he put chip back in his box

"Congratulations your practically sold" he said as he put the cellophane window over the figure

"You I'm not so sure about " he said to archer

"You are not serious right?" I asked

"Serious about selling these things, yeah?" He replied

"Well can we sell chip" I replied back

"And not get money out of it?" He said

"Yeah but he's probably going to break him" I replied

"So besides we're in high school ok we shouldn't worry about toys amber" he said

"Yeah but he's cooler than any other toy I've seen before " I replied

"Look I'm selling him ok plus just wait until next week you can go to toy world and get a new one" he replied

"I guess that's a fair argument" I replied

"See now come on we have to put the rest on display" he said picking up chip and placed him on top of another box of commandos

"I'll be there shortly" I said as I grab onto the cart of the other gorgonites and looked back at archer and stopped in my tracks a bit and opened the one I found archer in seeing another figure a buff creature with greyish blue skin and point ears with a ponytail holding a club and knife I looked at his name

"Troglokhan" I said reading it aloud I was impressed by him too just by first site like archer

"Amber, are you bringing out the gorgonites?" Alan asked in the store room

"Yeah I'll be there soon" I said breaking my gaze and wheeled out the figures to Alan

"Here you go" I said as he took the figures out putting troglokhan and another figure named slamfist next to him on the shelf that displayed the whole commando elite team Alan saw something that made him nearly pale as a ghost

"Oh man dad's ticket!" He said picking it up

"I guess we have to lock up early then" I said

"Yeah come on let's get our bags and head out" he replied

"Sure thing" I said heading back into the storage room grab both our bags and handed into Alan we would exist our dad's store and unchained our backs and head off
