Chap 14

Henry's POV:

I continue on with my papers as I bury my head in my hands from exhaustion. "Ballard? Dr Brenner sended me papers to give it to you" An orderly called.

"How many?" I asked.

"Uhm.." he starts counting.

"About 5 papers. One of them Is a thick one. Let me see what it is about for you"

Once he was done looking through, he called out again.

"Oh don't worry, Ballard. Its just about the children's behaviour and their powers"

I walk over to the door and open it. "Thanks Daniel" I was about to shut the door when he called out to me again.

"Hey... you happen to be 008's best friend back then right?"

"Yeah.. Why?"

"Do you know where she is? I havent seen her in years man!"

"Yea me too"

"Do you miss her? Like just a little?"

"Maybe"

"Yea me too. I miss her alot"

"Hey, wanna come inside? If we're going to have a conversation, then lets not just stand here"

"Oh yes, yes sorry for that" he walks inside and sat on the sofa "so, how did you and 008 met?"

"Uhh, she talked to me first" I could see him glaring at me while I stepped back. "Hey, I do not like her. Why? Do you happen to like her when you were 12?"

"W-what?-! No I do not! Well maybe a little I guess"

"Ahh ok"

"If you happen to find her, are you going to be a thing with her?" He asks.

"Dude no! Jeez.. I have work, I should probab -"

"No! Lets continue talking. Please?" His mouth is making my blood boil.

I groaned and nod my head, placing the papers on my desk. "So what do you want to talk about?" I say as I rearrange the papers.

"What do you think happened to her?"

"I absolutely have no fucking idea" I place the papers to the side of the table and walked to the sofa, sitting next to him.

He sighs and looked at me. "So... you and Ms (L/N) are a couple?"

I looked at the floor and nod my head. "I suppose so"

He furrows his eyebrows as he spoke "you suppose?"

"Well yeah, we are. Now let me go back?" I stand but a hand pulled me down again. "No. Lets talk for a little more"

Jesus, what does this man want? "Hey what do you want to know? You've been asking questions that arent related to work"

"I dont know... I mean, I do want to know something"

"what do you want to know?" I respond in a annoyed tone. "Where do you think she escaped? High chance would be the boiler room"

My brows lift up. So there was an escape in the boiler room. Jeez, how could I forget? "Yea... want to check it out later at night?" I asked. "Yes. Meet you in the staircase?"
Although this might sound risky, but it's worth the try if (Y/N) and I were to escape. "Yea, meet you there"

He smiles and waved to me goodbye. I'll continue the papers later. I'll go to the break room to have some food.
