The Gift (part 1)// Mini #6

Ship: Optimus Prime x Bumblebee

Continuing from the previous Mini, Optimus's Letter, this is the day out that was mentioned in the letter. Without any further ado, let's get into the story, shall we?

Bumblebee's POV:

It had been a few days since Prime and I became official. We hadn't told the others yet in fear they won't accept it given our vastly different age gap. He's 9 Million, I'm only 4.5 Mil. Pretty much half his age in simple speech. It wasn't awkward for us at all though, our age gap doesn't affect our love for each other one bit. We love each other so much and we get along so well despite liking such different things. But we do have 1 thing in common I suppose, liking Earth and a group of lovely humans who call it home.

I was walking down the hall when a little enthusiastic human boy came rushing over to me, holding something in his tiny hands. It was Raph, and he had such a joyful expression on his face. What is he excited about? Haha!

||' "Hey Raph, what's up?" '|| I'd make the first noise.

"Bee, Bee, Bee!!! You have to look at this! Read it!" He'd jump up and down, so thrilled at whatever the paper was hiding.

He'd turn the paper over and held it up in his hands allowing me to view it. I read it quickly once I realized it was from Optimus. My brain soaked in each and every word on the paper with absolute joy and satisfaction! He was such a charmer I swear! Lol

I retracted from the letter with a face riched with a blue blush, as I gently held the piece of paper. I needed to find the handsome mech who wrote it and give him a sweet kiss ASAP! I start to look all around the base just trying to find 1 singular bot but no matter what corner I turned, I kept finding bots whom I wasn't trying to find. Where was he? I'd start to ask around.

First I asked Ratchet, I figured he'd know where Optimus might be the most, but I was shockingly proven wrong, "Sorry Bee, I'm afraid I do not know where he is." I'd then ask Smokescreen, the same answer, "Sorry Bee, I don't. Do you wanna go play a game instead?" He'd ask me and I declined. I was still looking for my Sparkmate after all. It had been a while now and still no sign of Optimus. Now I was starting to get worried...

Suddenly I get a blip from the coms, "Bumblebee!", It was Ratchet, "I've located Optimus for you using the motion system. He's on the rooftop." He'd finish. This made me so thankful he was safe and okay!

I'd rush up to the roof, above ground. I'd finally get up and see him standing on the edge, watching the sunrise. This is one of those moments that constantly reminds me how magnificent Earth is! And it never ceases to amaze Optimus and I. And this was also one of those moments where Optimus looked beautiful! Sure, all I could see was his dark silhouette but in the pose he had, I couldn't look away. Once my optics adjusted to the new lighting, I saw him. Screw gazing at the sunrise, all I wanted to do at that moment was admire his body for a long while, but before I could, he turned around upon hearing me sigh as I looked him up and down. I panicked, and in doing so, I nearly fell down. All I heard as I regained my balance was muffled laughter in Optimus's direction.

"You.. oh..okay?-" Optimus would say between laughter, "That... I must say, was adorable Bee!" he'd snort a little threw uncontrolled laughter. I had never heard him laugh this hard before, and I could feel myself blushing, not from embarrassment, but from adornment. His laugh and snort combined was enough to make my spark explode! I started to laugh with him and that's when he looked at me with this... look. He proceeded to hand me something. This must've been the thing he was holding before! I grabbed it but he snickered and yanked his servos back quickly! This left me open to an "attack". As I sort of expected, he tripped me, and now he was romantically holding me with one arm, the other hand still holding the gift.

I'd bark into laughter immediately at Optimus's actions! He was such a dork and I loved every bit of it! What I didn't expect however was what he did next. He leaned in and kissed me! The audacity of this guy, pssh! He thinks he can beat me in my own game? No way! I kissed back, harder and more focused than he was, and I could feel struggle from him to win in this game of love. He'd tilt me so I was now standing upright and would hand me the gift while not breaking the kiss even for a second. We finally broke the kiss off and I looked down to glance at what the gift could be. It was a headdress. A crown. It was absolutely gorgeous!!

||' "How did you get this, you cracker!" '|| I teased all the while still looking at it.

He'd take it out of my hands with a delicate touch and would place it with utmost care onto my helm. The jewels and golden arches shone in the sunlight.

"I've had it for a while, it was originally my Carrier's but I figured it'll look stunning on you, and boy was I proven right..." he'd trail off, checking me out now from helm to foot with a smug smile.

I'd teasingly push him away laughing, turning my head away from him with a smile I couldn't get rid of! His only response was to grab me once more and laugh with me. This was the best morning of my life, nothing could ever top this! At least... that's what I thought.

Little did I know that things would only escalate from here.
