Ch. 6 - Detective

***Chaeyeon/Jihoon's POV***

The day of the contest was closer and closer than we'd thought. People have prepared a lot of stuff. I was still in my room, while Chanyeol was changing into some formal-looking clothes. Of course I'd scold him and tell him to change in the bathroom. Chanyeol came out fully dressed. It was ripped jeans, a black t-shirt with some patterns and a leather jacket. "How does it look Jihoon-ah?"

"Are you going to murder someone or something? Why are you wearing all black?" I complained. He scoffed and stuck out his tongue. Then he grabbed his phone.

"Let's go." I know I wasn't supposed to go to the contest. But since Sehun wanted me to watch him perform, I couldn't help, but say yes. I remembered a week ago when he cried and suddenly confessed that he had feelings that I was like his ex-girlfriend, and I remembered mostly what he said about Luhan. That idiot.

Chanyeol and I made our way to the field. The field was now replaced by a big stage. Stools were set in many lines as people were preparing. "I'll go backstage. You have to see me perform, okay? I'm going to ace this stage."

Before the contest started I looked around. Where could Mr. Gyo sit? I soon spotted him in the front row to the far right. It was him! It was Mr. Gyo. Chanyeol was right, the principle also watches the performances. He had some special interest in music.

It was starting to get dark outside, and one of the students who volunteered to be MC appeared on stage. There was Jungkook and Suga who were hoobaes. They once greeted me when I went to the mall with Sehun. I sat in the second row, in the middle. After the MCs had ranted, a group of teenage boys came on stage dancing to a song, I think called Lucifer by Shinee.

They were really talented since the dance looked extremely hard. It had some special movements in it that would confuse you. I found myself cheering for them.

After about four groups a tall boy came on stage. It was him, it was Sehun. He wore a baggy white sweater, and baggy patterned pants. With a shirt tied around his waist and a snapback on his head. He looked really cool in that outfit, it suited him so well. Then a song started playing, it was a bit slow at first. But the song started going really fast. Sehun was responding to the music quickly, making everybody cheer for him and clap. I also cheered for him really loudly, like a fanboy, maybe a fangirl.

I knew I wasn't here at this school for this, watching Sehun dance or hanging out with the boys. But as soon as he looked at me, while he was dancing. First it made me emotional and somehow proud. It was kind of like a 'are you watching this?' look. But the thing was that I felt like he actually looked at me like he wanted to show off to his girlfriend. I shook my head, what was I thinking? Sehun doesn't know I'm a girl.

After Sehun's performance, I rushed out of the field and made my way back inside the huge building. I don't have much time, I have to find at least something without the boys distracting me. So I quickly made my way into the elevator and pushed a button to lead me to the 4th floor, where all of the offices was. I remembered what Chanyeol told me.
