I saw what happened even though I was in the middle of my performance.

Mom stabbed Enri and he staggered around trying to remain on his feet as he faced her.

Shit! He's taken a huge injury! I know he's the captain but mom was once a pretty strong knight too!!

I momentarily paused and the crowd started talking out of concern.

"Miss Mavis?" The announcer came over, "Why did you stop in between?"

"Mavis!" Rose was right beside the stage, "What's wrong?"

My mind was in a state of frenzy as I pointed toward Enri but Rose couldn't see him from where she stood and that stressed me out even more.

What can I do to help him from here? He wasn't exactly near the stage, plus there were a lot of people around him.

Fuck it!

All my senses were screaming to help him out no matter what and I didn't even stop to think about the consequences of what I was about to do!

I began to sing again, but this time it wasn't a simple song, it was one filled with melody. The type that starts putting people to sleep immediately.

As the people heard it, the crowd slowly began to fall unconscious.

But the thing was, my mother, noticed it. She glared at me as the people around her were down on the ground and Rose was getting sleepy herself found it odd and looked around her. That's when she noticed the Captain.

She didn't waste a single second as she bolted towards my mother was the clear culprit since she had the blood sword in her hands. That's royal knights for you, they react within seconds.

I stopped singing immediately and ran down as Enri collapsed onto the ground.

Rose had to fight mom because she clearly wasn't an easy target. Soon Yeol and Lilia noticed the situation and came running over to help.

I got to Enri and saw that he was still awake, putting pressure on the wound.

"Captain!" I slid beside him and put my hands on top of his.

"You shouldn't have done that." He looked at me with concern, "People will find out now."

My heart was racing but the moment he spoke about me made it stop for a moment.

"What?" I looked at him wide-eyed, "You knew...?"

He coughed out some blood, "Shit," He frowned, "I can't believe I let my guard down." Seeing him like that made me go crazy, "I shouldn't have let that happen."

It scared me beyond belief.

"Captain!" I looked around for her and saw Nana. She was running towards us. I pursed my lips and looked back at Enri, "I'm sorry!" tears started streaming down my face, "This is all my fault!!"

He shook his head, "No-"

I didn't let him complete, "No!" I applied more pressure on his wound, "It is! Sirens have a special power, they can make people fall asleep through their singing." I held his hands, "It's not your fault, it's mine, this ability of mine gets people to lower their guard even when I'm singing normally." I gulped, "I'm so sorry!!" I started crying hysterically, "I'm really sorry. Mother knew and she took the opportunity to strike!! It's all my fault!"

I never thought something like this would happen.

"It's a terrifying power." He smiled through his blood-stained teeth and lips, "But quite powerful."
