"I thought of another one," said the blonde. "How does Harry Potter get down a hill?"
"How?" The model asked, a bemused smiled lingering in her face.
"By walking... JK, rolling."
At this point the model was unable to keep a straight face and gave in, laughing at the lame joke burying her face in her hands.
Taylor and Karlie had been sitting at the café the brunet had recommended for nearly four hours now, both completely unaware of the time. Earlier on their get-together, Taylor had made the model laugh, the sound reminded her of sunshine and happiness, and the singer made it her goal to make Karlie laugh as much as possible. At times she had become so desperate to hear her laugh that she opted to make jokes that she knew would get to the model. Taylor couldn't deny that she had developed a bit of a crush on the younger girl, everything about Karlie fascinated the singer. She couldn't get enough of the stories the model happily shared, whether they were about her family or her pets. However, Taylor didn't worry much about her feeling the younger girl, she had had plenty of crushes on friends and more often the not they would go away in the span of a month.
"Okay just one more," the singer said after a second.
"Fine but just one more," Karlie said, still smiling at Taylor's antics.
"Knock-knock."
"Oh this can't be good."
"Just go with it will you."
Karlie sighed, "Who's there?"
"Britney Spears."
"Britney Spears who?"
"Knock-knock." Taylor couldn't help but smile as she saw Karlie's confused expression.
"WHO'S THERE?"
"Oops, I did it again."
The brunet just shook her head with disbelieve. "I can't believe you."
"Oh lighten up, babe. You know that was funny." A teasing smile playing on the blonde's features.
Before the model could respond Taylor's phone started to ring, her brother's picture appearing on the screen.
"Hey Austin, what's up?"
Her brother laugh at the other end of the line, "Oh you know, nothing much. Just here looking at your potential new apartment."
"Oh crap! I completely forgot about that!" Across from the model tilted her head, curious as to what had happened. Taylor simply smiled apologetically, knowing she would have to end their little date soon. "Just try to stall a bit until I get there, please?"
"Sure thing, sis."
The two said their goodbyes before ending their call.
"I'm sorry Karlie, I kind of have to go now. I'm supposed to be somewhere with my brother."
"Oh. That's alright." From just hearing Taylor's side of the conversation Karlie had guessed so much, but she still couldn't help but feel disappointed, she had been having so much fun talking hanging out with the older girl.
Taylor saw pass Karlie's smiled and attempted to cheer the girl up, "Hey, on the bright side if everything goes well today you'll be seeing a lot of me soon."
"What do you mean?" Karlie was curies but nevertheless excited by the idea of seeing Taylor again.
"Well I'm house hunting in the city..."
"WHAT?! Why didn't you tell me before?! This is great news Taylor, I can show you around the city and I won't be too busy for the next few month so we can hang out all summer!"
Taylor couldn't help but smile at the girl's excitement. "Yeah, well first I have to find the perfect place. Which I'm supposed to be doing right now."
"Oh my god yes! Go! And don't call me until you find a place!" At this point the model was practically pushing Taylor out of the door and into her car.
Taylor just let the girl drag her, suddenly feeling even more excited about moving to New York.
