The three girls were seated in Taylor's dining room, eating their bagels in silence. The mess in the living room had been cleaned, and Dianna and Taylor were now wearing more appropriate clothing, with the actress having to borrow some of Taylor's clothes.
The singer could tell Karlie was angry, but she wasn't quite sure why. Part of her wanted to believe she was jealous but she knew that was just wishful thinking. Maybe she was mad that Taylor left the party early and left her. But then why would she visit her with breakfast in hand?
Dianna was the first to speak, breaking Taylor's line of thought. "So how long have you guys been friends?"
"For a few months I guess." Taylor decided to answer for both of them.
"What about you guys?" Karlie asked, to anyone else her voice would've sound emotionless, but Taylor could hear the slight edge it contained.
"Since 2011," the actress answered, focusing on her bagel. "We actually ran into each other at a flea market in LA."
Taylor smiled as she remembered her and Dianna's first encounter. "Yeah, I was walking with some friends, one which knew Dianna and..." Taylor trailed off as she noticed Karlie's expression. She quickly looked down at her plate. "Anyways, umm-"
"Yeah, and within a few months we were dating." Dianna said rather bluntly, all the while looking straight at the model. If looks could kill...
Taylor just stared at Dianna, not quite believing her ears.
Nobody spoke again for the remainder of the meal.
***
To say Taylor was happy when Dianna said she had leave, would be an understatement. The singer didn't know how much more tension she could deal with.
Taylor was glad when the actress pulled her into a hug as she said her goodbyes. It had been an overwhelming morning for the singer and she hadn't realized how badly she needed a hug. She closed her eyes and allowed herself to enjoy the physical contact. The familiarity of Dianna's arms bringing her much needed comfort.
"We should get together sometime this week to catch up." Dianna noted as the two pulled away. Taylor just nodded and waved the actress goodbye.
Taylor took a minute to compose herself before confronting Karlie once more. Taking one last breath she made her way to the kitchen. When Taylor entered the model was seated on a stool, eyes focused on her phone.
"So that was Dianna." Taylor said, attempting to lighten the mood. Karlie kept her eyes on her phone, not even acknowledging the singer's presence. After a few minutes of silence Taylor tried again. "You're mad. Why are you mad?"
The model just kept ignoring Taylor.
"Is it because I left last night?"
Silence.
Taylor decided to take a risky guess, what did she have to lose? Karlie was already mad at her anyways.
"Are you jealous?"
That finally caught Karlie's attention. "No. I'm not... I'm not jealous. Of Dianna? No."
Taylor, however, could see straight through her lie. She decided to take a page from Dianna's book and be blunt.
"Well, I was jealous last night?"
Karlie finally met the singer's stare. She was no longer mad, her eyes were now filled with curiosity. "Why were you jealous?"
"Oh for many reasons, but mostly because I was reminded of how he gets to call you mine, and I don't."
Karlie became panicked by the singer's answered. She had just basically admitted her feelings for the model and that terrified her. However, there was a part of the younger girl that was ecstatic beyond believe. She knew she felt the same way for the singer, but that only served to scare her even more.
"I umm... have to do... a thing and umm..." Karlie started to get up, trying to come up with a reason to leave but kept stuttering.
Without warning, Taylor walked towards the model and cupped her face in her hands. Before Karlie could react their lips touched.
