Taylor wasn't sure why she kissed Karlie, sure she had been thinking of doing it for a while now, but she even shocked herself when she did it. Her lips were still on Karlie's, begging for a reaction from the younger girl but she was getting none. As Taylor was about to pull away, already planning a list of explanation in her head, she felt Karlie's lips moving against hers, the model's arms snaking themselves around Taylor's waist, pulling her closer.
At that moment, the singer was sure she heard fireworks go off. The girl she had been think of nonstop for the last few weeks was kissing her back. If it were physically possible, Taylor was sure she would've exploded there and then.
Their kiss quickly became less innocent, both needing each other more than they realized. Taylor moved her hands towards Karlie's hair, letting her fingers get tangled in her brown locks. Meanwhile, Karlie stuck her tongue out, begging for access. Taylor was more than happy to comply to the younger girl's request.
Suddenly a phone rang. They both ignored it, not wanting to break the moment, but as it kept ringing and ringing Taylor decided to pull away.
"Maybe we should answer," Taylor said breathless.
The singer laughed as Karlie tried pulling her in again, completely ignoring what she said. God, she's adorable.
"Come on babe, it might be important." Taylor once again pulled away ignoring Karlie's pout and searched for the source of her annoyance.
Taylor finally found the model's phone, as she glanced at screen she felt as if she had just been slapped. As she returned the phone to Karlie, the singer's mood had changed drastically. "It's Josh."
Taylor could tell by her expression that she, too, had completely forgotten about the entrepreneur.
Karlie quickly took her phone from the singer's hand and walked towards the living room, not wanting Taylor to hear their conversation.
A few minutes later Karlie returned to the kitchen looking pale as a ghost.
"Josh was in an accident."

Taylor had stayed up most of that night. Karlie had promised to call her later that day but as the hours passed the singer realized she wouldn't be getting that call. Eventually Taylor stopped waiting and retired to her bedroom. After an hour of tossing and turning in bed Taylor gave up on sleep and instead she started thinking of the events that happened in the last 48 hours. She realized how complicated her life had become in such a short period of time. Just two days ago her biggest problem had been trying to cut Meredith's nails. Those were simpler times.
Suddenly Taylor wished she was back in Nashville where her mom was only a 10 minute drive away, instead of this big city where the only person she knew, didn't want to talk to her. She felt very much alone in her empty apartment in this unknown city, and she started to wonder why she thought moving to New York was a good idea to begin with. She had absolutely no business being in this city. Her label was in Nashville and most of her recent recording sessions took place in LA.
And why did she have to sleep with Dianna? It took the singer some time but she had moved on from her, why would she open that can of worms again? It would only serve to complicate things more.
And what in the world was she thinking when she kissed Karlie? The younger girl had a boyfriend, she should have respected that. Now Josh was in the hospital, with the model no doubt feeling guilty and probably regretting their kiss.
The thought made Taylor's heart ache. Even though the singer knew she should to be regretting kissing Karlie, she didn't. And the idea that Karlie did, broke her heart.
Taylor sighed, what was she supposed to do now?
