Disclaimer (I think that’s what it’s called?):  This story is all my idea and anything that seems like real events, people, or something from another story is ALL coincidence! I own all my characters :) But not 1D... which is sad... cause that would be cool. Anyways! The idea for this story came to me in a dream! So if it seems like something you’ve read or written, NOT my fault! :)

Chapter 1

*Kim's POV*

"Welcome to Tim Horton's. How can I help you?" I asked the customer with a smile.

"Yes, um, I'll have a large double double please, a chocolate donut, and that's it."

"Okay and your total comes to $5.25, your order will be ready in a minute!" He handed the money over the counter to me and I got his change before heading towards the coffee machine.

Let me explain. My name is Kimberley Henderson. I have long brown hair, blueish/grey eyes, and I'm a bit short for my age. I live in Vancouver Canada (Go Canucks!). My friends describe me as funny, nice, smart, and crazy at times. And yes, I work in a coffee shop.

That's where I was right now. It was late, almost 10:30 at night, and I was hurrying to finish my shift so I could get home and SLEEP! I'm in love with my bed. Seriously, if I never find love, I would be alright, as long as I had my super comfy body pillow and bed. <3

I hummed a little song to myself as I got the man's coffee and donut.

"Can we take the same road, two days in the same clothes..." I sang to myself Over Again, my current favourite song. I'm a fan of One Direction. I mean, who isn't!? But not in a stalker fan kind of way, more like they are super cute and amazing singers, and I would love to meet them one day kind of way. Haha! That rhymed...day...way... oh man, I need some sleep.

"Here's your order, have a good night!" I looked around the shop as the man walked away. Hardly anybody was here, just a few people scattered around the many tables. Great! I could just check my Twitter for another half hour till my shift was done.

I pulled out my phone and opened the Twitter app to check for any new tweets. Blah blah blah,... nothing interesting, just the usual tweets about how tired people are and how their cats are doing. Lame!

"Kimbo!!!" I jumped about three feet in the air as I heard my horrible nickname shouted across the store by my best friend, Audrina Justice. She always comes to visit me when I work late shifts, because she knows how bored I get.

She is honestly the sweetest person I know, always thinking of other people before herself. Her long red hair was straightened, as usual, and her green eyes had hardly any makeup around them, just mascara. She looked gorgeous as ever though, lucky girl, getting all the looks :/

"Audi!" I said as I walked in front of the counter to give her a hug.

"Okay, so I know I'm not supposed to... but I brought you some food to make your last half hour in hell a little bit better." She said, handing me a bag of cookies from my favourite bake shop.

"OMG! You're a life saver, girl! Come here, my ginger friend!" I gave her another hug before ducking down behind the counter and shoving a chocolate chip cookie in my mouth,

"Ahh, this is amazing." I sighed happily. The chips were still warm and gooey. It was like heaven in my mouth! Audi knew me so well. <3

"No problem girl. I'll wait for you in the corner to finish your shift. When you're done you're coming to my house. I recorded the new Glee episode for you, and it's not gonna watch itself." She said with a laugh as she sauntered off to the corner of the shop and sat down.

"Tell me with your mind, body, and spirit. I can make your tears fall down like the showers that are British..." I started singing again as I pulled a stool to the counter and put my head in my hand, staring out the window.

It was storming pretty badly outside, a snowstorm. Not unusual for Canada this time of year. I sighed. Guess it's going to be a long drive home if the roads are icy. By now everybody had left the shop; probably wanting to get home before the storm brought it's full force down in my hometown.

I looked at the clock. Still twenty minutes to go. I let my head fall onto the counter and closed my eyes. Please let time speed up.
