Melani was sitting with her mother they had been talking for over an hour and she was so happy to have her mother back. She didn't ever want her to leave again. "You've been in Mystic Falls this entire time?" She couldn't believe that she was there the whole time and she never noticed. She always felt drawn to the place but she never knew why,.

"Yeah." She wished that she would have looked into finding them. But being told that they were dead and knowing that she had lost her babies made her just want to curl up and cry she had tried her best to be her strongest for Makayla but they always butt heads. It wasn't always the easiest but she had did the best that she could at the time.

"What was it like?" She had seen some crazy things going to school with Hope. She was barely able to leave the school that's why she wanted to explore the city and the caves that her mother had once loved while she didn't have to be at school.

"It's just a smaller slightly better city than New Orleans." She had seen things happen in both cities but she knew that Mystic Falls wasn't to bad but she had seen some bad things that had happened while she lived in New Orleans. Things that she had never seen in Mystic Falls. And the witches itself just gave New Orleans a bad name.

"Slightly better. I recall it being worse."

They both looked up at Kol who was standing against the doorway. She hadn't gotten to talk to him wanting to focus on Melani. Who she could already tell was the nicer twin.

"I lived their longer than you did." While they were both born and raised there. One major difference was that she moved back there and had been living there for years. "Here there were witches vampires and werewolves fighting."

"I think Makayla's here Mel." He knew that it was possibly going to end in yelling but he had to let it happen they were twins. That had been seperated for years.

She had somethings he eneded to say to her twin now that she was back things were going to change. Starting with her attitude because Melani didn't scare everyone in her family when she had an attitude for no reason. "Good we need to talk i'll let the two of you talk it's good having you back mom."

"It's good to be back." Elena was happy that she was back with her family she hated that they were ever seperated.

Melani walked into Makayla's room seeing her unpacking. Kamiyah and Arabella were sitting on her bed. "Are you serious?"

Makayla turned around towards her she knew that her twin was mad at her and she really couldn't blame her for it. "I already got scolded."

"I don't care if they scolded you they aren't me." She didn't care if her cousins already yelled at her she was still going too because that was her mother too and she didn't deserve the way Makayla had treated her.

"Mel." Kamiyah warned she knew how her cousin could get when things didn't go her way. And she didn't want her to explode when her mother had just gotten home.

"Don't." She didn't really want to hear it she didn't want to hear that she should go easy on her because that was her twin. She didn't want to hear that she should give her the benefit of the doubt or that she needed to calm down because it wasn't happening.

"I know i messed up ok." She and her sister may have been twins but they were so far from different. Melani was the nicer one of the two until she exploded she remembered that from when they were kids. And she knew that her twin had every right to be mad at her and she wouldn't deny that. She hadn't known and she acted out without knowing everything that was going on. "I didn't know i didn't get any nightmares."

"Well then you got lucky." Melani had hated those nightmares she hated seeing her mother and sister dying in her head over and over again. She hated the memory of the accident replaying in her head. But mostly she had hated hearing her mother's cries at having lost her unborn twins.

"I didn't know Melani." Her sister could blame her again and again she had did things that she was not proud of. She was her father's child she rushed into danger without knowing all the facts. She should have been better to her mom she shouldn't have done the things that she had. And she wished that she could change how she acted but she couldn't.

She didn't care whether her sister knew about it or now she cared about her sister had acted towards their mother. She cared about the fact that Makayla hadn't cared about her mother's feelings. "Whether you knew or not doesn't mean a thing to me you should have still been nice to her because she is your mother."

She knew that she needed to have a sit down with her mom. She needed to apologize but her mother was just getting reunited with the rest of the family and she wouldn't take that away from her. "I know i swear i'm going to talk to her."

"You better otherwise you will regret me running into you." Melani prayed that her twin was going to be true to her word because if she wasn't well she didn't want to see what happened then.

Makayla had seen most of the family but she had yet to run into the only boy in their family. "Where's Kameron?"

"Out with unlce Silas." Kamiyah knew that they would be back soon but wasn't sure how soon.

"Oh,."

He was happy that she was back it hadn't been easy without her here. "How you feeling?"

"Better than i've been the last decade." It was true being back was already making her feel better. She had missed all of them she had missed her daughter and it was like a weight was lifted off her knowing that they were not dead.

"Katherine told me that Kayla had did the binding." Knowing that she did it was going to make it easier to take it off again. He knew why she had bound it but he wasn't going to let it stay that way. It took away a part of her he knew that her werewolf side was where the majority of her attitude had come from.

"She did." She hadn't known whether Makayla was actually going to do it for her but she did. She assumed that she had some kind of ulterior motie behind why she did it. "I didn't trust another witch and it was the only thing that she was willing to do for me."

From what he was getting Makayla and Elena didn't have the best relationship. She knew that had been hard on Elena too. He hated that she had to do it by herself knowing him and the family were struggling with the four kids that they had. "Katherine told me that she talked some sense into her."

Elena didn't believe it whenever she thought that Makayla could be better she was always proved wrong. And she couldn't do it again. She knew her daughter she knew when she was sincere and she knew when she was faking something. "Makayla's a good actor i won't believe it until i see it."

He went and sat down next to her they had been doing good before everything had happened they were happy. Then everything went down and it wasn't easy trying to raise Melani. It was even harder when the nightmares had started and all she wanted was Elena. "I'm happy your ok?"

"I am too. I'm happy y'all didn't die maybe i should have spent more time actually looking for y'all." She wished that she had actually looked she wished that she had not taken them at her word. But she always had the fear of being left alone of being hurt again and she was scared that she was going to find out how they died and "But i was scared of what i would find."

"I'm sorry you had to go through that alone." He would have never let her do that he wished that he hadn't stopped looking that he would have went to more places did more to track her and Makayla.

"I know that you tried to find me I don't hold that against you." She knew that it wasn't his fault and she wouldn't blame him for that.

"You should get some sleep." He knew that this had been a long day for her and that it was probably time that she got some rest.

She was too scared to go to sleep she didn't want this to be a dream. She didn't want to wake up and it was only her and Makayla again. "I'm scared if i go to sleep i'll wake up and this will all be nothing but a dream."

He helped her to stand taking her hands and looking her in her eyes. He wasn't going to lose her again he refused. "I'm right here with you"

"Don't let me go." She couldn't do it again she couldn't be seperated from her family. Feeling tht she had lost everything that she had loved.

"Never."
