Luke's POV
"We're here luv"
We arrived at Zander's & Hailey's and I'm still nervous for no reason. "I'll be fine Nana... Goodbye!" I said throught the open window of our van, i'm glad that she is my Nana. She may have her weird accent but she's so lovely and caring... not like my parents... Ah anyway.
I walked towards the door and rang the bell. Michael opened and greeted me in: "Hello Luke what brings you here?... Oh god what happened?!" I giggled at his reaction, since this is the Michael way to be. He's quite an idol of mine if i'm honest. He's talented, super nice, and is quite funny to me...even though of his dad jokes... hehe! "Luke!" I flinched at Micheal, "huh?! Y-yes?"
"You spaced out, I think...What happened to your wrist?" Micheal asked me. I looked away and i think he knew I was embarassed about that...
"Uhm...it's a weird story Micheal..."
"I'm all ears Luke. And don't be embarrassed about it"
"So... I broke my wrist because I tripped over my cat, and then fell down the stairs... heh... Yea weird story..." I looked away while I said all this. It was even more embarrassing to say it out loud... "You can laugh Micheal.. it's fine" I said while laughing myself. And as I told he did started laughing.
"I'm sorry Luke but this is kinda hilarious" Micheal said between giggles. I get him tho, imagine: Luke Peterson, the second most popular guy in school, broke his wrist cause he fell over his cat down the stairs? Ridiculous... I just started to laugh with him. Until we both stopped
"I'm guessing you can't play the drums for a while right?"
I looked down... "Yeah...at least three weeks... and then having to look how good it healed on week three..." It kinda hurted to say these words...
"That really sucks... but heads up Luke!", Micheal patted my shoulder, "You don't know how much injuries I had at your age... I never really cared about myself back then..."
I just looked at Micheal smiling. I'm glad he's there wanting to cheer me up. And yeah.. Micheal was a special teenager, kinda like Milly but WAY worse.
"I'm guessing you're here to tell Zander and Hailey about it right?" I'm honestly more and more thinking I'm Micheals son... just living a bit away, of how much of a father figure he is to me...
"Yeah... I kinda wanna say that i can't play right now instead of when we have practise you know?"
"I get you! Come on in now. We've been standing here for a couple of minutes now" Michael closed the door and I walked further in.
I heard a "who's there love?" from the kitchen. "It's just me Mrs- S-shannon!" Nothing can describe of how much she hates me calling her Mrs. Wickham...
She walked towards me and looked at my bandage. "Oh dear god! What happened darling?"
... I paused a while "... I tripped... over my cat?" Shannon and I had a rather weird eye contact while Michael in the back couldn't hold back his laughter. Shannon just started smiling, "I just hope it'll heal fast dear" ...Why the fuck are they both such parent figures to me...?
"Thank you Shannon.."
"The offer is still open to call me mom, Luke!" I just started to laugh. I did call her mom once when I was younger but now I can't blaim myself...
"Oh but... Did you come here without a message? Or did you message someone that you'll come here?"
I stopped walking. Didn't Zander say anything?
"I did... I texted Zander..." i was waiting for a response... it was quiet.
"Oh... hm...weird. Alex said that he is leaving to someone's and said he won't be late..." I was getting kinda confused... Zander wouldn't just forget it, if we chatted like 15 minutes ago?! But... ah okay! "I'll just wait till he gets back... first i'll tell Hailey since she's the president here"
"Do that honey! Oh! And when you go upstairs could you call Bethany down?" I think I knew what Shannon wanted from Bethy. "You I will!"
