At Princess Izumi's Castle
[A/N: Yes ,Izumi has a small castle for herself gifted to her at her 16th birthday]
The castle was quiet, in a good way, the peace and mother nature's sounds made the listeners calm and collected, indeed it was a pleasant place to live in and the best spot for Princess Izumi to have her own castle.
The princess, in her green trousers and white shirt, returned from her monthly travel around the borders of her kingdom; she was greeted by all her servants that she passed by. Princess Izumi was greeted by her royal servant who was promoted from being her personal maid and that person was Ochako Uraraka, she comes from a poor family background but that only amplifies her dedication to work and earn.
"Good afternoon, princess" Ochako bowed. "Good afternoon, Uraraka...what brings you here?" Izumi spoke as Ochako straightened herself. "Princess, today your schedule is free so I have arranged for all your favourite activities for the day and your schedule shouldn't be busy till the personal maid choosing event" Ochako said and the princess replied, "Uraraka...you shouldn't be making my schedule as it is the job for my personal maid" Izumi chuckled a little. "I know but the Queen chose me to help you out until you find your next personal maid!" Uraraka chirped and Izumi simply nodded.
"Princess" Shoto came and bowed in front of Izumi. "Hi Shoto, What brings you here?" Izumi asked calmly. Shoto looked at her face and blushed a little then looked away which confused Izumi but not Ochako, she knows that Shoto started to like the princess around few years ago when he was chosen to be her personal knight. Shoto looked towards Izumi but this time he looked down in order to stop his heart from racing, "The Queen has asked for your presence but before that she has asked you to be refreshed and properly dressed" Shoto spoke what the Queen told him- verbatim; he knows that Izumi gets annoyed with such dressing style especially when she is asked to dress a certain way. "Thank you Shoto...you may leave. Ochako get my bath ready..." with this Izumi walks to her room. "It's all ready, princess!" Ochako said. Izumi nodded and went on her way to her room.
"Oh geez! Todoroki! When are you going to tell her your feelings for her!" Ochako pouted. "Huh?! What do you mean?!" Shoto looked embarrassed- his eyes wide and eyebrows furrowed, at the fact that someone knows about his feelings for the princess. "I mean...you are strong not to mention handsome, you care for the princess and you have the social status as well! You are the son of Duke Enji Todoroki for god's sake! It should a piece of cake for you to propose to her! Especially since your family is well reputed and also loved by the Queen!" Ochako explained. Shoto looked down in defeat and admitted his feelings for The princess. Ochako understands if things don't go smoothly with the proposal then the relationship between Shoto and Izumi will be doomed or at least become awkward but she can't help feeling sorry for Shoto. "You know what...it's fine...but if I get to know that the princess has any romantic feelings for you then I will inform you!" Ochako stated. "I thank you for your work!" Shoto said, hope radiated in his voice.
In Izumi's bedroom
After her relaxing bath, The princess seems to be wearing a red silk gown and is sitting on her makeup cushion, looking at her reflection while brushing her short , green luscious hair. "The girl...on the trail...she seems familiar, I should look into it...there is no way I can forget people's faces! She did say she will be here..." Izumi thought and then her eyes widened at the thought - Could it be Katsumi? She kept her hairbrush down on the table and looked out of her window. Before Izumi could get lost in her thoughts she heard a knock on her door, she opened the door and Shoto was standing there, "The Queen wants to talk to you..." Shoto said and Izumi nodded as she went to her mother's office. The office was quite far as it was in the main castle of Galilee.
At the office of the Queen
The doors to the office opened and Izumi entered. "How was your monthly check on the borders? Any difficulties? Any difference from the previous month?" The Queen asked quite paranoid with her current situation. "Everything is fine mother, No difficulties in the way...and nothing has changed" Izumi plainly stated. The Queen cleared her throat, "the real reason I called you here is because I came to know that a spy has entered the kingdom and no special leads are on this one..." The Queen sighed as she kept down a file she was examining. On hearing this Izumi also got quite annoyed on surface; deep down she knew if what she thought was correct then there would be no reason for paranoia. "Our sources tell that the spy has something to do with our family, the royal family..." the Queen sighed, "Have you seriously not found anything suspicious?" The Queen interrogated her daughter. "Mother...I know you get easily paranoid with such things...but I would never ever hide anything from you especially in the matters concerning the kingdom, you can trust me" Izumi replied, she felt sort of guilty for not coming clean but she didn't want her mother to worry a lot, and so she decided to take this matter in her own hands. "I am ashamed that I had no faith in you...especially after you proving yourself worthy to me and to this kingdom all this time!" The Queen looked down ashamed at herself for not trusting her own daughter.
"Raise your head mother...you are the independent Queen of Galilee...you shouldn't lower your head to someone who is inferior than you" Izumi said, she didn't mind considering herself as an inferior being, she constantly looks up to her mother and works hard everyday to be just like her- a strong, independent, impactful woman is what she wants to be, she wants to show the world the solo power of a Queen, that marriage to a king is not the only a criteria to become queen, she treats her mother the way every widowed Queen should be treated...that is by giving them dignity, an equal chance to display her capabilities and love. Izumi is quite stuck at the 'love' part but she is trying her best.
The queen could only smile at the words of her daughter but deep down she knew Izumi was like a shell but she couldn't do anything about it at present so she just fed her happy responses, "I am glad to have a daughter like you..." Inko said, She knows how hard it is to make a position for herself in the ranks of the rulers as a widowed Queen but she wants to make an example out of herself for future generations and she wants Izumi to be a part of her revolution and hopes that Izumi could live with more emotions in future.
"So...have you had any love interests?" The Queen smirked and Izumi just stared at her with disbelief. "I know we don't really talk about something so casual...but at times even I wanna know what is going on in my daughter's heart" Inko chuckled when she saw Izumi's red face, she looked like a strawberry! Somewhere glad that shell might be becoming full; "So there is someone?" Inko teasing Izumi was something new. Izumi looked worried,"No...I am just embarrassed by your question...I don't know what my love interest is!"; or love if she understood it, "mother how would I know if I liked someone!?" Izumi exclaimed- genuinely wanting an answer now that this topic is brought up.
"Oh child...you would know the right person when you look at them..." Inko could not believe the fact that Izumi had no love interests or even a crush; thinking that her daughter excelled in all fields of fighting ,dancing and music, it was true that she was a horrible cook but that is not necessary for love interests but what she didn't consider was Izumi's shy nature, Izumi is really shy around the royals and nobles but not with her close friends and people of her kingdom. Meanwhile the Queen is outgoing with almost everyone she talks to. So different and yet so alike...this is quite a confusing mother daughter pair.
