Holly's P.O.V

~After shopping~

As Casey dropped me off and exited my driveway, I entered my house and no one was there. Then I saw a note on the kitchen counter. It said:

I'm at Liz's house to get ready for the dinner, put on something nice. I'll see you soon :)

-Mum

(P.S The house is next door to the right :))

I went to my room and picked out an outfit. I checked the time and it was already 5:59. So I put on my socks and earbuds and walked to their house.

I rang the doorbell and there was no answer. So I rang again. Then I heard someone screamed "JUST WAIT!". Then someone answered the door. I saw a tall boy with quiffed blonde hair staring at me. I had to admit it, he was kinda cute.

"So...what are you looking for?" He asked. "Um....your mum invited me for dinner..." I said. "Come in" he said. I walked in and I went in to the room that seemed to be the kitchen.

"Oh hi dear!" Said Liz. "Um, hi" I said quietly. Then the boy who was at the door came into the kitchen and said, "who are these people?". "Oh, I invited them over for dinner, there our neighbors". "Well Im just going to go into my room, call me when dinner is ready" and walked away. I sat down on the stairs and started texting Casey.

Casey: hey, how's the dinner going?
Holly: it didn't start yet. But I saw this boy who's kinda cute
Casey: omg what's his name?
Holly: I don't know, all I know he's my neighbor.
Casey: tell me when something happens
Holly: okay..

Then dinner was ready. I sat at the table where all the food was at. Damn, it smelt so good. Everyone sat down then the boy came down and sat next to me. I felt really awkward now.

We started eating, and the food was REALLY good. "Luke, pass Holly some Salad" said Liz. I'm assuming that the guys name is Luke. "Who?" 'Luke' said. "Her!" She said. I quietly said thanks.

"So what school is your son going to?" My mother said. "He's going to the school that's 9 minutes away from here" Said Liz. "Oh that's where my daughter's going!". "Really? Maybe she can show him around the school, since both of them are going to school tomorrow". "Mum, I can figure it out myself" he said. "Last time you said that you were 30 minutes late trying to figure out where each class was!" Said Liz.

"Holly, can you show Luke around your school" my mum asked. "Um, sure..." I said awkwardly. "Great! You guys walk together at school tomorrow!" Said my mum. "That would be great!" Said Liz. I sighed silently and just texted Casey till Dinner ended.
