I'm so confused and hurt at the same time. Wanda, my wife has been so distant to me lately. I mean, sure, she's an avenger and her job take lots of her time but she's never and i mean never been so distant to me.

she always makes sure to give me time and pays attention to me. she's the sweetest and softest person when it comes to me but terrifying to everyone else. so, I don't get it.

or maybe she's avoiding me because...

I'm pregnant.

few weeks ago, I found out that I'm pregnant and excitedly told her about it. she seems happy and cried saying that she'll be the best mom and will give everything to our baby.

was that a lie? was she acting that time? but I can clearly see the happiness in her eyes.

after I told her, she started sleeping in the guest bedroom and never allows me to go in and she's always in her phone.

It was past midnight when I decided to peak a little in the guest room. The moment I was infront of the door, I heard shuffling and her talking to someone.

I slowly twist the doorknob trying my best to be quiet. when I opened the door, I was beyond shock to see a big mess inside.

there were toys and diapers scattered everywhere.

"you said you bought both pink and blue bottles, Natasha!" she whispered on the phone while looking inside the paper bags, "if you bought it, maybe I would be laying beside my wife already." she said as her eyes was searching something around the room until our eyes met.

"l-love?" wanda quickly ended the call and approached me with a long receipt in her hands, "it's not what it looks like, it's just uh..." she said trying to find an excuse while shyly scratching the back of her neck.

I just smiled at her and put my arms around her neck, "I love you." I said and gave her a short kiss as she caressed my cheeks.

she was about to say something when we suddenly heard a notification from her phone.

"let me see." I demand and put out my palm.

"what? no! it's nothing." she quickly said, shaking her head.

"then let me see. it was nothing, right?"

"but—"

"Wanda." I said in a warning tone, raising my eyebrows.

she slowly hand her phone over, standing beside me for her to see what the message is also and it's from Natasha.

"dude, why'd you end the call!? whatever, the baby crib you ordered will be arriving tomorrow." Natasha's messaged said.

I closed the phone and looked at Wanda, she was standing there with a small blush on her face and a nervous smile.

"sorry, I was a bit excited." she said and gave me an innocent smile making me chuckle.

"I swear to god, you're the cutest." I said, giggling before hugging her.

she's definitely gonna be the best mom and I'm sure about it.
