I was furious, I was sure if I was in a fantasy world I would be blazing fire through my nose.
I had been calling her for hours now, since it was morning here. Many hours went by when I finally got a call from her. I accepted her video call and she seemed to be on the bed slouched against the headboard.
"Are you gonna say something or not ?" I spat out furiously.
She just giggled and kept on looking at me.
"You look mad Advik and I am sorry that I did not take your call earlie.." She slurred her words.
" You are drunk as hell Pari, what have you been doing?"
"Calm down. I have just been at a party and maybe over drink a little." She again proceeded to giggle.
I was silent as I looked at her with concerned eyes.
"Say something, are you mad that I went out?"She looked at me with a frown.
" I am not mad that you went out, I was just worried about your safety. Nothing bad happened right? With whom did you go? Who brought you back?" I wanted to know that she had been safe and did not get into any sorts of trouble.
"Oh.. you have questions that too soo many of them. Ugh." She sighed as if they tired her.
"Okay, yeah I was safe all along and I had gone with Anirudh. Also I met him in the cafe that I went to ask for a job."
I felt my jaw tightened and a tick in it. I felt a ping of jealously as I heard his name. I was possessive of her and I knew that well. I did all I could to keep that guy away from her when I was still there.
"Are you jealous?" Her words snapped me out of the chain of thoughts I was in.
"Should I be?" I was jealous. But I knew better than to let her know the fact, which I know would make her definitely happy to know so she could tease me even more.
"Hm.." She hummed as her eyes seemed dazed and sleepy.
"Let's talk later you seem sleepy." She did not reply but kept staring at me as if she was expecting something to happen.
"I'm not sleepy, it's just that I am a little drunk. Also I have something to tell you." She grinned as she said it.
"Go on," I was now curious to know what she had to say.
"Um, Anirudh was a bit more drunk than I was and I believe I was a little sober at the time this happened." She looked me in the eyes as if she was asking to continue and if I was okay with the present info she told me.
I nodded so she could continue but I curled my fingers and my nails were painfully pushing against the soft part of my palm.
"He told me that he likes me and he even thought of confessing after I came back from the marriage. But did not go through with it after he came to know of my marriage to you...." She trailed off to look at me.
