Taylor was just walking down one of the corridors of Hogwarts when suddenly Mattheo walked a few meters in front of her, with this smirk on his face. Girl laughed at the sight of him and walked towards him.

"Whaaat? " She asked when she was next to him.

"Nothing. " He shrugged his shoulders but still smiled. "Where are you going?"

"To Hermione. " She replied which surprised him.

"Hermione? " He repeated, surprised. "Why? "

"And why not? " She replied with a question to the question. "Because she's from Gryffindor or because she's Potter's friend?" Or maybe because it's Hermione? "

Riddle held up his hands defensively.

"I was just asking. " He looked at her again. "I didn't expect you to still stick with her."

"She's a friend. " Young woman replied honestly to which he nodded. "Okay?"

"Okay. " He smiled pleasantly at her.

"But to be honest..." She sighed and leaned against the wall next to him. "I thought she would break our contact sooner. You know how it was in the beginning... " She reminded. "Just quarrels, teasing each other, well, a few unpleasant words..." She shook her head. "But it's passed, and people mature and outgrow such stupidity. I'm shocked that it has come to the point that I'm friends with one of the Gryffindors, with a friend of the famous Harry Potter. " She giggled.

"You know, you can be friends with whomever you want."He replied, still amused. "I know what you mean. " He looked at her and became a bit serious. "But the fact that my father doesn't tolerate such people and that he wants to kill Hermione's friend has nothing to do with it. I mean, you know, I'm not him. I'm not Voldemort and I don't have the same thinking as him. I don't like Potter, I don't care about half-blood wizards, but I care about you. "

Riddle sighed and looked at her again.

"You're not indifferent to me, Tay. I know that at the beginning I wanted to please my father somehow and obey his orders, but you showed me that it's possible to act differently. " He said, and girl perfectly remembered their conversation during the second year here. "You were the first to say that I'm not like my father and that I can make choices myself, do what I want and do, which in my opinion is right, not his. Thank you for that, Tay. " He nodded. And if we're honest, I won't say that I really like Granger, but... She's fine, okay? I tolerate her. " He smiled. "For you."

Monroe smiled and then hugged the brunet. Her gesture surprised him a bit, but boy returned the gesture anyway.

"Thank you..." She whispered in his ear, then looked into his eyes again as they moved away from each other.

"You're not like most of us in Slytherin. " Riddle announced with a smile.

"I'm an exception. " She laughed and grabbed a strand of her hair behind her ear.

"You're special. " He said, which caught her attention. "That's why I like you the most. "

"Beacuse I'm that strange? "

"Yeah, exactly. " He nodded. "This is definitely one of the features I like you for the most. "

"Oh, there are more? " She asked with smirk at which Mattheo laughed slightly.

"Maybe. " He replied smiling and approached her. "But I won't tell you. "

Taylor turned her head to the side.

"Someday I'll get it out of you. " She assured him, still smiling at the same time. "Theo..." She grew a bit serious. "When I get back from Hermione, shall we talk again? I want to ask you something. "
