"You wanted to see me, Headmaster? " Monroe asked as she entered the teacher's room, and there she found someone she didn't expect. "And what are you doing here? " She asked looking at her parents.

"I'll leave you alone. " Dumbledore said.

"There is no need. " Taylor's mother replied. "It only takes a minute. Taylor. " She looked hostile at her daughter. "War is coming so we want you to be aware of it."

"What? " The student asked.

"In case the school wants to send the kids home for safety..." The girl's father interjected. "You have nothing to go back to. "

"Wait, what? " She shook her head. "You mean..."

"You're not welcome there anymore, Taylor. " The girl's mother said. "We were so understanding to keep you there after Stella died. But now that you're of age, just take care of yourself. Don't come home. " She shook her head. "Because you don't have one anymore. "

"The same goes for us. " Father said. "Don't count on our help. We already told you this, but I'll repeat..." He said sternly. "You're not our daughter anymore. You ceased to exist for us when our Stella... "

"I ceased to exist for you a long time ago." The teenager interrupted him with tears in her eyes. "And I could never count on you, Stella was my only support."

"I suggest we all calm down..." Dumbledore interjected worriedly. "You..."

"No. " Mother interrupted. "This is the end of the topic. " She added firmly. "It's good that you awer of that. You should be grateful that we kept you with us for so long anyway. Everything you have, you have only thanks to us."

"Everything I have, I have only thanks to myself. " Taylor said. "For you, I have always been an outcast and nothing in your eyes. Only Stella mattered to you." She said. "Don't worry, I knew it would come eventually. That in the end you'll completely want to get rid of me, you didn't surprise me with anything. Even if the war will come, I wouldn't have any intention of returning to you. Hogwarts is my home and the people here are my only family. " She smiled at relatives. "You can all suck it. " She snorted and then left the Headmaster's office, leaving her parents in shock.

Monroe walked through the halls of the castle and sighed heavily. She didn't expect a visit from her relatives, but she was glad that this thread had already been closed with her. For a moment, she could breathe a sigh of relief.

After a while in the distance, the teenager saw Mattheo walking towards her. The witch smiled at the sight of him and then ran up to him and hugged him tightly. Brunet didn't expect it, but returned the gesture.

"You're okay? " He asked with concern, and stroked her back.

"Now yes. " She replied cuddled up to him and then raised her head to look at his eyes. "My parents kicked me out of the house and officially confirmed that I'm nobody to them. " She said, her words surprising Riddle even more. "But it's nothing. " She added. "I don't care about the relationship with them anymore, it ceased to matter to me a long time ago. Now, it's over. " She smiled at the boy. "Something ends and something begins. "

"Yeah, but you're not alone with this. " He said and brushed a strand of her hair from her face.

"I know. " She replied with a smile, which brunet reciprocated.

In the days that followed, what everyone feared happened. The war has come. Voldemort attacked, and black clouds hung over Hogwarts. There was total chaos in the castle. There were rubble everywhere, the bodies of wizards young and old. Some tried to save themselves somehow, others resisted and fought, but it seemed that the end was near.
